Budget 8 Motel John Day

Very basic. a place to sleep nothing special. Clean, quiet.

Very nice and affordable motel with convenient parking. There’s a guest laundry. We didn’t use it but appreciate the convenience. The rooms are nice sized and the beds are clean and comfortable. The plumbing was a bit noisy but everything worked. The wifi was excellent. There’s a nice coffeemaker and I was given a hairdryer when I requested it. The manager was helpful and friendly. This motel is not the ritz but it’s a great value for the price. I would stay here again.

some of the other guests were sketchy and threatening

This is an old row-style motel, not at all fancy from the outside. But don't let that deter you. The room, while plain, was roomy and exceptionally clean, as was the extra large bathroom. I was frankly impressed.

We were real happy with our stay. The only other vacancy in town had bumped their rates up to $299.!!!, that's not happening... The Budget 8 was clean, we were able to conveniently park right in front of our room, very reasonable rate, nice family run motel!

Very comfortable beds and great service.

In the first room they gave us the microwave had no turntable or glass dish. I went to office to let them know and was given a key to another room that everything worked fine in. There was only 1 wash cloth and 1 hand towel for 2 adults. Otherwise room was fine.
