The Gresham Aparthotel

Another comfortable stay at the Gresham. Really friendly staff even though I kept changing my booking. The hotel is well located right in the centre and there's secure parking in the next street. The English Breakfast was freshly cooked and well priced.

Great central location. Spacious rooms. Very friendly and helpful staff. Free laundry facilities and excellent gym.

The kitchenette wasn’t properly stocked. For example, there wasn’t a knife. There also wasn’t a toaster or coffee maker. So, it made it difficult to prepare any food unless it was prepackaged and just needed to be microwaved. The bed is not a proper queen. It is two single beds pushed together and you can very clearly feel the divide between the two beds. This made it a bit uncomfortable. There is very little soundproofing between the room and the hallway. It’s easy to hear doors opening and closing, people walking, and conversations. This isn’t ideal if you’re a light sleeper. Also, there are no “do not disturb” signs for the door and no keyhole to see out when someone is knocking. I was walked in on once while blow drying my hair, which was startling. This could have been avoided by a simple sign on the door. Lastly, the hotel needs an upgrade. There is chipped paint and drywall in the rooms, grout in the shower is black in places and dislodged in others, and mattresses are worn.

The shower was cold, only downside to my stay.

I always stay at the Gresham Aparthotel when working in Leicester. The rooms are always clean, comfortable and well equipped. On this occasion I had a King size room which was very spacious. My only criticism is that on two mornings as I left for work my door would not close properly , I was assured by reception it would be seen to immediately and I was a little anxious leaving. On both days I got back and the door was closed properly ,but instead or repairing the obvious issue during the day , maintenance came late afternoon to drill and replace the lock and sand down the door when I wanted to shower and work . Other than this very comfortable stay as always

Well worth paying extra for the breakfast. You could get the conunenta and cooked with no extra charge
