WoodSpring Suites Portland Vancouver

They cancelled my booking less than an hour before check in - stating the room that I paid for was under maintenance and they were fully booked. They also told me that they would cancel my reservation through ‘Expedia’ even though I booked through booking.com. I have yet to hear anything regarding my refund even though they stated that I would be able to rebook the same day. I had to spend more money to book a secondary hotel. We were going to a concert for my daughter’s 18th birthday and had to scramble, while driving, to find another hotel since we are from the other end of the state.

Unprofessionalism

Place was disgusting. Dog poop all over the outside including on sidewalks. The floor of the room was so dirty it ruined my daughter’s socks. I refused to take my shoes off.

The only thing that was good about it, was how close it was to the freeway and other stores.

There were people that live there with their kids and they were running around every where and making noise. Also, the bed was not comfortable and we only got 2 flat pillows. There is no front desk after a certain time.

The property location was good and it was overall a clean area of town

The whole place smelled like pipe tobacco and the counter closed at 10 with no instruction of how to check in after that hour outside the locked door . There was a man who was running the place who was quick to be angry with me about questioning why everything was locked down. The staff was obviously upset to be doing their jobs even though I called and let them know I would be after 10. They never said anything about shutting down before then. The floor in our room has a red food platter near the bed and some blue feathers on the ground that tells me they didn’t clean very well at all.

The mattress was very uncomfortable, the pillows as thick as a cracker. We asked for extra pillows and got denied, we had to go shopping for pillows to have a better night sleep. Won't recommend

We don't believe our room was cleaned before we checked in. Didn't look like the floor had been swept in the room or the bathroom. There was hair, not ours all over. The toilet was dirty. THEN, what really made us believe it wasn't cleaned, was when we move the corner chair to play cards there was an empty Red Bull can that had been left from the previous stay. Also the TV had this annoying side menu that kept coming on the screen every 5 seconds. We asked the front desk if they could help us with it and they did not know how to remove it. So we had to watch the boxing match with it on. Was super annoying

Location and pet friendly.

Needs some basic repairs. The hallway carpets needs to be cleaned or removed with all the pet stains.
