"I would not recommend this to anyone who pays for what they expect."

The reservation was okay. It turns out when you use Booking, they are additional fees that the hotel charges which were not included or conveyed through Booking.com. Booking needs to do more to be transparent.

The room was messy, dusty, no bags in the garbage, used tea in the teapot, dirty counters, and bathroom had urine stains around the toilet.

This is definitely a good option if you have to stay near the airport. It’s not far at all. It was nice to have the option to go to the casino but I find them depressing. Anyways, the prime restaurant was pretty good but otherwise not a lot of options after 8 PM. The staff was very very nice. Rooms were clean and smelled nice .

Not as many food options after 8 PM.

"OK option if you need JFK. We picked Hyatt due to the restaurants but they were disappointing."

The beds were nicely made with clean sheets. We asked for a chair and a few extra towels, and they were brought to us without any issues. (The beds were a bit too soft for my taste, though.) The room was quiet, and the city view side offered a really nice view. Reception staff were helpful and efficient, and the team at the elevator entrance greeted us warmly every time we passed by. We noticed quite a bit of security staff around the lobby, and they were friendly and helpful too. Even the staff at the small shop in the lobby were cheerful and kind. Overall, the service from everyone we interacted with was great.

We picked the Hyatt Regency mainly because of the restaurants listed as part of the hotel, but when we got there, we found out that all but one of them are actually a bit too far to walk to, especially since we had some mobility issues. The only nearby option was The Sugar Factory, and honestly, it was disappointing. The food was just okay, but it showed up cold and took forever. The worst part was the service. They automatically add a 20% tip to your bill, and it really felt like the staff didn’t care at all. From the second we walked in, the attitude was bad, and it stayed that way through the whole meal. Unless you absolutely have no other choice, I’d skip The Sugar Factory.
