I really enjoyed my stay at the Thompson. It is definitely a hotel that keeps its customers in mind. The location was perfect, and the hotel is beautifully decorated, clean and has a great vibe. Some staff were exceptional, but one wasn't the best representation of the hotel. I would definitely say the food options could be a bit more diverse, especially for people who are health-conscious, vegan or vegetarian. Overall, an amazing, amazing stay!

Great experience from valet to front desk staff and breakfast waiter. Fun room top pool. Quiet smaller hotel that was perfect for us. A great value with a bit less service which is a great compromise.

We stayed for 3 nights and extra hotel fees were $250. This for a poor sleep on floor 2; noisy until late in evening. We could hear them hoovering next door room at 8.30pm yet we only got a clean one day. We paid for a queen room with accessibile tub but were told at check-in only had king bed room. Air conditioning inaccurate - set it to 19 Celsius and woke so hot. It’s a lovely area with lots of good restaurants-just pick a better hotel

Too much noise outside the room, when the doors were closing, they are so loud, it seems to be lots of closing and opening doors at all hours of the morning early morning throughout the night, and the valet parking was a mess so disorganised lots of queueing the valet People like to have a long conversations with drivers whilst there’s Cuzz queueing back up on the road so disorganised

The hotel is lovely and front desk helpful- HOWEVER- we arrived around 4pm on Sunday afternoon and couldn’t turn into the entrance with our car. We were stuck on the main road for about 10 minutes while cars just sat in entrance driveway and the valet did not move or manage them. Finally after cars honking and a huge traffic jam the valet simply waved us over to the garage down the road. We parked and because it was the weekend we couldn’t use the elevators as the building was closed- we went up a few sets or stairs with many bags and ended up in a back alley. Finally we found someone who showed us how to get to the entrance- we were furious and exhausted and when we got to the hotel the valet started arguing with us- there was en event on the top level and it was a complete traffic jam everywhere. The hotel needs to manage cars better and prioritize guests- this is a 5 star hotel and it was a very poor first impression. Of course then there was load music u til around 10.30 pm and then another 30 minutes of dragging tables and moving chairs above us- so so loud. Finally we in our travel exhaustion got to sleep. Breakfast was lovely and staff efficient- but then there was a power outage. So overall a terrible experience- it could have been avoided by letting us know about the huge event and earning us about parking. We will never stay there again!!!!!
