The food was excellent. The modernisation of this ancient building was a good balance of keeping the character with modern comforts.

Personally I found the small windows oppressive, but totally to be expected in a jail!

"No longer a relaxed hotel . Be prepared to pay as you go . No charging to the room No"

The Jail is an amazing experience hotel.

We have stayed there numerous times before but this time nothing can be charged to the room . Staff insist payments at bar per round and restaurant per dinner . This is new a procedure . Feels like you are staying at the Premier Inn.
