The sea view . The lady who cleaned the property was there when we arrived and was very nice and helpful .

The shower was Old and very small It took Ages to heat up . The breakfast was not as expected

Lovely hotel for a short stay! Staff is very friendly, hotel room very clean. Located opposite the sea and central to centre and pier. Good value for the money you pay

Decor is not spot on but was clean

Staff here are wonderful, all polite and friendly, helpful, and have great recommendations for restaurants and local attractions! There is a communal kitchen space where breakfast is made between 7-10am. The location is fab, it's on the quieter end of the promenade and set back from the main road so traffic noise is minimal. The view is like no other, straight out to sea, uninterrupted, picturesque. If you're lucky, the rooms with the bay windows also have an amazing view of the cliffs. I also stayed here a couple of years ago, where they kindly upgraded me to a large room with the bay windows, which was perfect, it was immaculate. I felt safe coming back to this hotel, and this time around stayed in a King room with Sea View on the top floor. It was nice and clean, and had a tea station with a kettle, wardrobe space for hanging clothes with storage, a large tv, radiator, cooling fan, and a coffee table with armchairs. We weren't able to see the sea view from the bed sadly, but we were able to have the window open and hear the gentle crashing of the waves - very soothing!

I did forget from staying the first time that as it's an older building, the stairwell has a fair echo which is rather loud in the rooms. Our first night, some other residents seemed to be right outside our door speaking incredibly loudly and slamming doors, luckily it only lasted 10 minutes or so and did not happen the next night. The King room we were in was lovely but needs a little TLC in the bathroom with a broken toilet seat, and some marks and scratches on the walls in the main room, cosmetic bits. The sea view was one of the main reasons I came back to Eastbourne, I chose to pay extra for the room and was a little disappointed it was not visible from the bed, having to climb over to get pictures. Not sure if it's possible at all, but having the bed face West instead of North would allow you to see out of the window for that sea view whilst sitting up in bed with a morning coffee or reading :)
