Quiet and not far from the lake. Breakfast was excellent

Communication beforehand about check in wasn’t very clear - we had to check in at the resort rather than the hotel

Amazing breakfast

Der er ikke noget godt at sige om stedet.

Det ser forladt ud og de holder ikke udendørsområdet. Bygningen ligner en der er ved at falde sammen. Du bliver ikke informeret omkring at du skal køre hen på deres resort for tjekke ind. Vi stod og ventede på der kom noget personale og efter noget tid måtte jeg ringe og sige der ikke var nogen. Jeg fik et meget flabede svar om at hun ikke kunne se mig. Hvis du vil have morgenmad skal du også køre derhen hver gang. Til morgenmaden er de meget mistroiske og vil have beviser for at man er gæst der. Vi kommer aldrig igen.

The location is utterly stunning and the staff were genuinely attentive and accommodating

We were allocated a room on the second floor of Dormio Gasthof, which apparently was booked through Booking.com. We had no idea. No lift. I’m 70 my wife 61 with medical issues. It was too problematic to haul our luggage up 4 flights of stairs. Plus the accommodation was located the other end of Obertraun a long way from the resort. On telling the staff of our issues we were relocated to a ground floor studio on site at no extra charge. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful.

We really enjoyed our stay in Obertraun. A beautiful village, with the resort right at the lake. We had booked for the Hoellenwirt, a short walk from the resort. We were upgraded to a room in the resort and we spend a lovely night there. Thank you!
