AC Hotel By Marriott Raleigh Downtown

It was perfect for a quick date night in Raleigh 😍 we had such a great time

We were in the second floor and the noise from the street kept us up until 3 am. Mostly loud motorcycles and cars. Completely out of the control of the hotel, but stay on the highest floor if possible. The property is very nice, upscale, and clean.

This review was inspired by the lady staff member named Ronnie. She received my family rather cold upon check in. She didn’t acknowledge my Gold status until i mentioned it and She didn’t seem able to provide any knowledge to help me with checkin as I made mistakes during the process. She was dismissive. She gave the type of energy that should be working in another industry, but not hospitality. I don’t want this energy at any Marriott property I visit. Later had great service getting a table upstairs at their Sunday Jazz brunch, but the server seemed annoyed that we needed another table due to the rain. She didn’t offer my family silverware or a pin to sign the tab. I love Marriott and their properties, i don’t want their standards to become compromised by allowing anything less than a best effort.

NOT THAT WAS A BIG DEAL BUT WIFE HAD 4 PIECES OF MELON A HARD BOILED EGG AND CUP OF TEA THERE WAS NOTHING STATING THAT BREAKFAST WAS EXTRA SHE CAME WITH ME AND DONT THINK THAT WAS WORTH 16 DOLLARS SHOULD HAVE SIGNS POSTED ABOUT PRICE NOTHING ON WEB SITE OR IN ROOMS OR AT BUFFET

Very clean and nice hotel. But having people working on maintiance at 7:30 in the morning banging with hammers was inconsiderate!

I didn’t think the breakfast measured up to other breakfast that I had, it was very basic, super Basic could have had a better variety of food

The property is cramped. No room to leave the car while checking in. Signs out front indicate all street parking is for Uber/Lyft. It feels like the building was designed and built in a rush with lower materials and quality control. Bathroom sink had low water pressure. Bathroom door would not close. Toilet ran constantly until you get out of bed and jiggle button. Windows are thin and road noise is disturbing. Sprinkler/smoke detector strobe light is right above bed and flickers randomly all night. Parking deck is weird and has random plastic humps everywhere that you will trip on. Mattress was mediocre at best. For this price tag I would expect much better.
