Holiday Inn Express Thomasville by IHG

The hotel, checkin experience and breakfast were all great. A group of guests got in the pool, pooped in the pool and there was toilet paper and cups left everywhere by the pool. Also, the bathroom by the pool had toilet paper and poop all over the toilets. I did tell the front desk and he personally cleaned the bathrooms and locked the pool. He gave it his best effort to help. Then the same group of guests had a “party” with guests that were not staying at the hotel. They took up the entire outdoor area and were smoking weed, cussing, yelling and were drinking excessively. As the night went on 6-7 hours later, the drinkers got in a fight on the hotel premises. The hotel workers permitted this onsite behavior and basically looked the other way while it was going on like there was no way to control the situation. With the non-hotel guests lingering all in the parking lots around guests cars, this is a PROBLEM and will be a problem if this continues.

Everything was excellent. The older African American women who checked me in late that nice was so nice and her smile was impeccable.

Reserved a suite, but it had no heat in one room. It was extremely cold that night (in 30 degrees). Due to no heat, moved to room w/two beds. But the hotel overcharged for 5 nights in room w/two beds.

The hotel is fairly new and brightly modeled and clean . However I placed some uneaten food in the trash basket and ants invaded my room overnight. I also noticed a trash can in the lobby with tons of ants . You might want to get an exterminator.

There was no hot water available for ANYONE on September 3 and 4th. When we checked out, we were given a blank receipt with no charges on it at all. I went back to the front desk and was given an amended bill, with a credit of half because of no hot water. Today, I checked my credit card charges and saw that I was charged twice, and the amounts billed were not the same. When I called the hotel they said they didn't see the double billing on my charges, yet it was on my credit card. I had to report this to my credit card company and they will take it from there.

Very nice overnight stay. Rooms were super clean, very friendly service at check in. Hotel is very new, they were still putting finishing touches on things when we were there (mainly the pool, it was not open due to no rails). Breakfast was very good, numerous options, and very well stocked.

They hotel was very okay for the very secluded area. Definitely not even close to worth the money, crappy rooms, doors squeak, shower doors won’t stay closed(whole building seems to be on a slant) the laundry room even after being open for two months doesn’t have any machines. Don’t open a hotel if you can’t have all of the amenities you say “you offer” also for me checking in at 3am I was charged for two nights even though I would’ve been checking out at 11am that same day. So kinda bs I just spend over 300 dollars for staying there 8 hours. Workers seem like they haven’t worked in a hotel before. Helpful enough so I can’t complain about everything. Just very disappointed.

I was in town for a business meeting, I arrived the night before so that we could start bright and early the next day this property is certainly a solid property for a one night visit my room was perfectly fine the staff was very nice it certainly is well located it for meetings in Thomasville
