Kuukum Tulum Hotel

Beautiful hotel and very kind staff. Definitely worth getting the luxury apartment with rooftop private pool!

I absolutely loved this place, the apartment I had was beautiful, and all of the staff were really helpful and friendly. Fantastic English speaking on reception which I’m embarrassed to say I needed. Roof top pool was fab and I used it a lot. The area is nice, 5 min walk to a few lovely restaurants and a small supermarket, 15 min walk to the start of the strip going up into Tulum town. I’m a lone female but felt safe walking around even after dark although I would advise having a torch to hand to walk back as the road is still being developed so no street lights yet. The beach is about 4 miles so I hired a bike from the hotel to get there but they can organise a taxi for about 200$mx. I stayed for 2 weeks, and could of easily extended my stay, I may even go back on my return route to Cancun. WiFi was strong and it also has a small gym which I use most days with basic but decent equipment. The kitchen in my apartment had basic utensils, pans and crockery but it was more than adequate to cook a meal and prepare breakfast. I only ate at the restaurant once, and the food was fab. There is a lot of construction happening around the hotel but it’s happening everywhere in that area at the moment and to be honest when I was inside I didn’t hear it at all. The staff are what make this place the best though.

The property is actually very nice and well taken care of being right on the edge of the jungle. The front desk clerk Sergio was friendly and accomodating. I asked for extra towels and pillows but never received extra pillows. There is a pool, small gym area and a restaurant onsite where we ordered breakfast a couple of mornings and it was delicious. The hotel room is 2 floors, on the 1st floor the living room has a tv and sofa bed that was comfortable to relax in and there's a restroom. The kitchen has everything you need, refrigerator, stove with pots/pans/utensils and microwave. There's a breakfast nook by the kitchen too. Upstairs is the bedroom and bathroom. The hotel has a/c upstairs and downstairs. I appreciated the front desk lady printing my tickets for XCaret and my Covid Test results for the return flight. Our only issues are that the toilet downstairs overflowed on the 1st day, I called front desk and a crew was sent in immediately and fixed it within a few hours. The other issue is that there is alot of construction in the area so it's noisy and very dusty on the street during the day. I did enjoy using the tomato.mx app to order out dinner every night. I think in 2-3 years the area around the hotel will be fully developed and will be a great place to stay in Tulum besides the hotel zone on the beach. I would stay here again.

Really beautiful zen spot with really friendly staff

Hotel is located in perfect area, close to trendy cafes. Staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The rooftop pool area is super chill and perfect for those chilling evenings. Rooms are very clean decorated nicely. Highly recommended

I liked the style of the hotel, it was clean and nicely decorated. Very eye appealing. I didn’t like the location very hidden. Staff was nice and helpful, we had an incident with a watch going missing on day 2 of being there, we are not sure how, who or what happened but it was defiantly there before leaving to dinner. Other than that decent stay.

Everything is perfect the only problem is to try to get to the hotel
