Right next to the Keihan Gojo Station with a Family Mart and 7-11 across the street. One subway stop or short cab ride away from Yasaka Shrine and Gion Street. Amenities include slippers, electric water kettle, mini fridge, bidet, facial cleaner and lotion, toothbrush, toothpaste, razor, hair brush, body scrub towel, and green tea. Free sample size sake between after 3pm. Coin operated all-in-one washer-dryer on the 1st floor. You need to run the dryer a few times before your clothes will fully dry. They do not provide house keeping, but if you leave your trash and towels outside your room before 11, they will empty and exchange them respectively. Bottled water was provided at check-in. The hotel is located on a big street so it can get a little noisy if you sleep by the window. My friend who slept by the wall side didn't hear any of the noise.

"Nice hotel, overpriced breakfast"

Fairly nice modern hotel in a great location, next to a rail station and across the bridge from the north/south bus lines. Twin room was very small (two adults couldn't move around in it) and the beds are firm but comfortable. Tiny but modern European bathroom with a great shower. Coin laundry on the ground floor,. Good staff, some English spoken. No meals served apart from breakfast. No coffee facilities (but Windy is just around the corner and is awesome!). Ah, right, the breakfast. Consists of small gourmet dishes (sauted squid, fried oysters, picked vegetables, various types of fish, miso, rise) which are individually delicious but (to a Western appetite) unsatisfying. Only nasty machine coffee available. And its 2,000Y per person per day! If Japanese breakfasts aren't your thing, try Cafe Kano across the bridge which does nice breakfasts and much better coffee).

Comfortable and clean hotel with very kind and helpful staff. Room size is larger than most standard hotel rooms in Japan. Great location and walkable to lots of sights. They also have electric bikes for rent and is a good option to explore Kyoto. I would definitely stay here again.

Budget Japanise hotel for Japanise people. ( TV and AC only in Japanise, only green tea in the room and crew that speaks very little English ). Location is central, clean and simple. Great Traditional Japanise breakfast.
