"Very comfortable standard hotel"

Very comfortable, standard hotel on campus and across from Devaney Center. Lobby cafe with spacious seating area was a great to get work done. There is a restaurant tucked off to the side and a cocktail bar on the upper level however I didn’t visit those areas on this trip. I drove into downtown. There was a sports event at the stadium which caused temporary road closures but it was very orderly and after a couple of diversions we were able to get back to the hotel about 10 minutes later. Staff were great and all the other guests we encountered were very nice and pleasant to converse with.

"The Scarlet Hotel"

Stayed at the Scarlet while attending the Husker's HoCo. Great place, clean, lively (for being a bit away from the stadium and certain goings-on). Nice rooftop bar, and nice downstairs bar. Lots of fun memorabilia on walls and displayed. They offer shuttles for easy downtown access, but we walked to stadium, as well as to and from Hay Market area. It was a little over a mile each way. Room was clean and comfortable. The cafe downstairs was a bit slow... but we weren't in a huge hurry so it was okay. Best part of our stay was Zakiyyah at the front desk-- beyond helpful, informative, professional and super personable. She made our stay feel first-rate-- we felt like VIPs. We will be coming back next HoCo and hope to see Zakiyyah again. Also very friendly, at the front desk with the best most welcoming smile was Deshannellah. All the staff were super, but these two stood out and compelled me to leave a review. =)
