Camptel Poconos

Very comfortable!

Our recent stay at Camptel in one of the luxury tiny container homes was a truly lovely experience. As nature lovers, we appreciated the perfect balance of outdoor adventure and indoor comfort. It gave us that camping feel—without sacrificing the modern conveniences we enjoy. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Marianne, whose kindness and hospitality stood out. She took the time to show us around and made sure we were settled in, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The grounds and accommodations were clean, thoughtfully maintained, and inviting. We especially loved the variety of amenities available to help us unwind, including The Dart House, the zen saunas, and the hot tubs—each one added something special to our stay. We came seeking peace and relaxation, and we found exactly that. A heartfelt thank you to Marianne and the entire Camptel staff for creating such a tranquil, hidden gem. We’re already looking forward to our next visit and highly recommend Camptel to anyone looking for a restful and refreshing escape.

It was so nice!

There is a tavern on site which is super convenient because when you don’t know the area, you feel miles from nowhere!! The staff were super friendly and accommodating and offered complimentary late check out if needed.

As the cabins are located under the trees, I understand that it would be hard to keep the outdoor furniture and verandahs clean, but if you knew that guest were arriving, you’d make sure they were cleaned that day. Also, bed was only a double size and as my husband is a big, tall man, his feet hung off the end and there was no room for myself to comfortably sleep …I ended up sleeping on the lounge.

While the properties were beautiful, but DO NOT trust the staff here. When we arrived to our stay the entire property had lost power due to weather. When I called the property to check-in, they notified us of the power outage and promised us a refund if we requested one. We decided to sit in the parking lot for a period of time prior to requesting a refund in the hopes that the power would come back on. After 1 hour, we decided to request a refund and leave. The staff promised us a refund and processed the request, but it’s been over a month and they have since rescinded their promise. I payed full price expecting all of the services they provide, and received nothing but still paid full price. I have called 3 times and emailed them but they keep ignoring my communications. I will not be returning again!

Arrived at the property and found out it was closed for the season. Received letters about check in and everything but once arriving it was closed and had to find another place to stay.

We initially got to our house and the heat was not working. It was 43 degrees inside. Guest services was closed (although it was during business hours) but the restaurant helped get ahold of someone for us who gave us a baseboard heater. After returning from dinner the house was 42 degrees and no heaters were working. We waited another 30 minutes for hekp to arrive. They placed us in the house next door. A few hours later people put the code i to our lock and were trying to open the door (luckily we had the bolt on). They had the correct code because they were booked for that house. We were NEVER avle to get ahold of guest services during our stay or after. We are trying different abgles to get a refund as we didnt feel safe and left early.

Had issues had to find another hotel could not stay there there was no heat no one on the property to take care of this
