Muir, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Halifax

We intially booked Prince George up the hill but read a newspaper article about the new Muir on the harbour front with parking. Good move. Valet parking boys excellent, staff friendly and helpful. Best location in Halifax on nicest part of harbour front. Courtesy car for town we used to go to immigration museum. Driver friendly and helpful. Breakfast is excellent quality. We booked b&b basis but noone informed us of allowance—45 CAD each-which was plenty. Room was fine, no liquid hand soap for sink though, only squidgy tablet and no body lotion-asked at reception who gave me small bottle. Good air con. Lovely residents only ouside bar but not open every night. Didnt use spa. Went to bicycle shed one night (10 min walk along boardwalk)-very busy, waited hour for food, but food good. Book in advance. Really enjoyed day tour of three vineyards in Annapolis with Grape Escapes. Knocked off one star for lack of toiletries and did think £500 a night bit too expensive. There is however no alternative as good.

A very upscale hotel. Gorgeous room. Sophisticated lighting and controls. Loved the automatic night lite as you approach the bathroom. One of the most comfortable beds, slept wonderfully for 4 nights. Air handler has simple controls and very quiet. Interesting large cabinet that houses a drawer with a tea pot a drawer with an expresso machine, a drawer with coffee service, and a drawer that functions as a refrigerator. You get what you pay for!!

Very clean friendly , great location . Modern very nice decor and the amenities are top notch . The Gymn is outstanding. The little speak easy is also a cool experience.. This really is a fabulous place to stay in the water .

Just returned from the Muir Hotel and WOW! This brand new waterfront property has the best location in Halifax with stunning harbor views. The Queen's Marque area feels incredibly safe and walkable with dozens of restaurants nearby, plus their own excellent Drift restaurant. Facilities are pristine and modern - everything is brand new. Staff was exceptional and you're walking distance to everything while still being peaceful and scenic. Will definitely be back! Traveled as a couple in August 2025
