When we arrived, they had sold our room. Hotel and expedia were no help. Hotel was dirty abd scary area. Far from beach which is pictured. No refund yet.

We will always have a soft spot in our hearts for the Marimba. My wife and I wish that we could buy it and restore it to its 1930s glory, while keeping it reasonably priced. The staff are great and we would tart there again on our next visit to Punta Cana.

The property was very outdated. Lobby furniture looked very well used. My room had a leaking airconditioner and it was extremely hot. Front desk did accommodate me a room change Pool around back was clean. There was mold growing around the circle drain of the sink. In the lobby was a bottled water jug cooler. This would not be my first choice. But worked well in a pinch. A lot of local shopping and restaurants in walking distance.
