Excelente servicio, el mejor locro de papá que me he comido y toda la comida genial además de unas habitaciones muy bonitas y arregladas.

L’hôtel est très situé, la rue est très bruyante si vous avez une chambre qui donne dessus. Il y a pleins de boutiques qui ont la musique à fond. Le lit est trop mou pour nous, ça va pour une nuit! Le petit déjeuner est basic mais fait à la minute. Le personnel ne parle pas anglais!

Great staff. Good breakfast, decent restaurant. Good location near city center.

The small room had no exterior window and no heating/ cooling. Staff did bring in a powerful fan which helped ius sleep.

Good food and clean rooms but having a band and pub dingers until midnight when you are working in the morning is totally unacceptable. The manager was inconsiderate and ignored guest complaints. Hence the bad review.

our rooms had not one window to the outside, only two very small ones to the floor where people are walking. There is no possibility for fresh air, not even by fan or ac - there is no ac. Sometimes someone switched the lights on - the windows could not be fully darkened.

Nice little place right in the middle of town! Rooms are on the small side but was fine for our one night stay on our way to Banos. Water pressure was amazing, but room was very warm- no ac and opening the windows left you very exposed- they’re tall with no screens. The hotel did provide a fan upon request, but wasn’t much help. Also, no hairdryer provided. Small restaurant on prem- was ok, nothing to write home about, but was convenient. There’s also a small cafe on prem where we purchased sandwiches for our car ride. They were Yum!! Overall, I’d recommend!

We would have liked to be able to give this nice hotel a higher rating. Our room was comfortable and the staff were friendly. Our cooked breakfast on the first morning was very good, taken in the airy courtyard. But on the second morning breakfast was a poorly stocked buffet with some tired looking hot food that had clearly been around too long: and it was in a dreary function room with only long tables. But the real issue was that we were overcharged: we upgraded to a junior suite — the standard doubles all look inwards to an internal courtyard — and we were told this would be an extra $42 for the two nights. In fact we were billed an extra $62 (plus tax, which according to hotels.com, through whom we booked, is not payable by foreign tourists). We have spent weeks trying to secure a refund, but to no avail. We had several exchanges with the reservation staff. We asked for our correspondence to be passed to the hotel manager, Isabel Delgado. Although she regularly responds to favourable reviews on Tripadvisor, we have not heard back from her. We gave them our phone number so she could call us — nothing. We have also tried engaging Oro Verde head office, but this respected hotel chain has not replied. We tried using hotels.com as an intermediary, but they got nowhere. Eventually, the hotel sent us a screenshot of an email, presumably to their accounts department, instructing them to send a refund to our credit card. Some two weeks later nothing more has happened. So our only recourse is to write this post and advise travellers to check their bill very carefully.

The hotel is a modern and clean boutique place and they offer to park nearby. The city center of Latacunga. Service was impeccable and breakfast was buffet style, small but very good, and different options. I've to say that the shower was the best shower with hot water and pressure we had and the soap is awesome too!

Rooms face inwards so windows face inwards too (to the hallway). Light can be irritating. Needed air conditioning.
