Hilton Tulum Riviera Maya All-Inclusive Resort

Our experience at Hilton Tulum was absolutely amazing. From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly kind, attentive, and professional. The facilities are beautiful, clean, and very well maintained. A very special mention to the Kids Club — it was outstanding! My daughters had an incredible time thanks to the amazing team: Angel, Roshy, Cristal, Montse, Joss, Iveth, Mich, Yadira, Karla, and Helena. They truly made the experience fun, safe, and unforgettable. You can feel the love and dedication they put into what they do. Thank you for making our vacation so special. We will definitely be coming back. Highly recommended!

We had an incredible experience at the Hilton Resort in Tulum! This resort has staff that go above and beyond to ensure you have the best experience! It is a huge resort and there is something for everyone whether you come as a family or adult-only. I’d like to give a huge thanks to the Kids Club! My son loved spending time there and doing so many fun activites!! Thank you Angel, Roshy, Cristal, Montse, Mich, Joss, Iveth, Yardia, Karla and Helena! You all work so hard to entertain the children and make sure they feel at home and safe. Thank you everyone at the Hilton Tulum! We had the best time!

There were redeeming qualities, but for the price we paid for a Hilton, it shouldn't need to be redeemed. We were a group of 13 for a family reuinion with 2 toddlers. We arranged almost everything with kids in mind, including and especially the kids pool area. We were very disappointed with the water temperature. We were told only the kids pool and the kids spash area were the only heated pools in the entire property. The pool was inadequately heated, and the splash area didn't feel like it was heated at all. So we spent maybe 10 minutes total at the spash area, which was pretty disappointing. The kids pool was OK, but still too cold. We ended up hunting for the handful of hot tubs on the property only to find that only 2 of them were functional and were also not heated very well. Speaking of hot water, we had 2 rooms on multiple nights that didn't have hot water at all. Besides accommodating the kids, food was our number one priority in choosing this property. The breakfast and lunch buffets were pretty typical and average. Quality and service for breakfast is better at the main building, but the view and atmosphere is better at Vela Sur with the outdoor seating. The best part of breakfast was the chilaquiles station. For lunch, I wish we had discovered the Sea Salt restaurant earlier. It's not a buffet, so it was a little better quality. The buffet lunches were not good. It ranged from just OK to raw burget patties. Pool-side food was way too slow. Getting a server can take up to 30 minutes alone, and then you're looking at 45 minutes to get your order brought to you. They say it's because all the food is made-to-order. Still too long to wait. We ordered room service one afternoon. Same slow service. And they don't even serve a full drink menu for room service; only beer. Why? Drinks were below average. All the mixed drinks like daiquiris and pina coladas tasted like diet sodas. The dinner restaurants were the only place where you can get decent quality food. The standout was La Luce for italian. The pizzas and pastas were very good. Sorbets were bad, though. Auma steakhouse was good. Maxal and Noriku hibachi were average. Rooms were very nice and modern. Beds were comfortable. Shower was big and nice when there was hot water. The air conditioning was loud. Balcony is nice to have to look out at the ocean. But you have to decide if paying ~50% more for the view is worth it. We also paid a little more to be in a family room, which means you're in the furthest building from the main building but also the closest to the kids pool, splash area, playground, and kids club. Over the course of 6 nights, I wouldn't have minded saving a couple hundred bucks and not stay in a family room. The property in general was clean. One big disappointment was the public bathrooms. They seemed clean on the surface, but something about them felt very dirty. And they stank of the cheapest bathroom cleaner stuff that I'm kind of sensitive to. Resorts of this caliber should have extremely pleasant bathrooms. We avoided all the public bathrooms. There are vans that take guests back and forth from the main building all the way across the property which is laid out in one long line. We didn't mind the 12 minute paved walk through the open-air halls. For an extra 5 minutes, you can walk along the beach. It's not advertised and I never saw anybody walking it. But you should do it at least once.

Great resort, friendly and helpful staff. Food was good, drinks were plentiful. Would recommend for a chill family trip.

We (family of 4/2 teens) visited at the end of March (week after March break). Trip from airport was just over an 1hr ... we only had two other hotel drop offs so that helped. Arrival - check in was no problem. When you arrive, the hotel seems small until you realize that it curves all the way around the cove - definitely walkable but there are frequent shuttles if you prefer. Shuttles are on the main road/stop in front of the beach, but you can walk under cover the whole way from building to building if you choose to. We were in Casa 6 (furthest from the main building but closest to the kid's pool/splash pad and the second buffet) - the splash pad is awesome for younger kids and there is a kids and teen club near Casa 6. Room: Very nice - modern and very clean. I did notice other comments about the glass shower/toilet door: they are frosted so we avoided turning on the toilet light and then you weren't visible (obviously only impacts friends' trip or older kids etc) Beach - read many comments about the beach before going: The hotel complex is on a rocky outcrop - the main swimming area is a bay (created by a break-wall) to shelter from the waves and most of the seaweed. The floor is rock covered by sand so I would strongly recommend water shoes. Shallow entrance so good for little kids - deepest part near be break-wall comes to your chest so very safe for those who are nervous swimmers. We saw lots of fish...didn't even need a mask/snorkel so great for kids. Seaweed moves away from the main swimming area towards the far southern part of the beach where it's picked up daily. Very little impact. Plenty of chairs and umbrellas - towels avail right on the beach. Food: Very good overall. Note for a la carte bookings you do it online - you can only book a couple days ahead to make it fair for everyone. Note to check the schedule because some days the buffet isn't open at night...there is a lobby bar where you can get a burger,wings etc if you don't have an a la carte reservation. General -Everyone speaks English ...assuming a job requirement since it's the most English I have ever heard spoken in a resort. Even the music was mostly english. -Staff are lovely, very friendly and helpful. -Not sure if it's the time of year we went, but it was very windy at night - I would be sure to pack something warmer just in case. - Wifi across the resort - worked very well. Pet peeves - very little tipping noticed and people at the beach ordering (in some cases demanding) drinks and then leaving before the waiter came back - so rude! Overall, very nice resort with great food.

My husband and I spent the last eight days at the Hilton Tulum Riviera Maya as part of the fitness vacation exchange. We taught sunrise yoga and beach Bootcamp for 6 of the 8 days we were there. We couldn’t be more impressed with the Hilton’s amazing staff of entertainment hosts including Gio the entertainment team manager and our amazing daily host, Monica! They made sure we had everything we needed for the week to host incredible classes in paradise. I was even asked to be a part of teaching sun salutations as part of their weekly Mayan ceremony. This was a once in a lifetime experience that I will always remember! I am gluten free and was so impressed how the restaurant staff went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed and accommodate. The manager at Vela Sur even walked me around the buffet to make sure I knew what choices were available to me. We have been to several other all inclusive resorts in Mexico with this being the first one that was not adults only. However we barely noticed because the resort had an adults only pool (which in our opinion had the best view of the 8 pools), and so many activities that were suited for people of all ages. We would def recommend for families and couples of all ages!
