The Cheney Arms

Main shortcoming: breakfast consisted of a basket full of paszroes packed in plastics. No drinks, no variety of teas. But remarkably quiet over a pub. Not a word was heard.

Lovely Location, friendly staff, lovely room - clean. Would definitely stay here again if in the area. Cooked breakfast would have been nice but that's just my preference.

The room had everything we needed. The property is surrounded by beautiful fields, we woke up to the sound of bird song and lambs bleating. Very sweet! The manager was so friendly and helpful.

Slightly dated decor.

Pretty location in rural setting. Large very comfortable room, quiet, very well equipped Excellent evening meal, high quality along with pleasant and knowledgeable staff. Would highly recommend

Beautiful room really comfortable. The pub does lovely food to. Our friends live in the next village which is why we chanced upon it, I'm sure we'll be back! Everyone was very friendly.

The only let down was the water pressure in the shower which we did mention on check out. Lots of hot water just not a strong flow, apparently it would take knocking walls down to improve it. But don't let that detract from a lovely room in a nice country pub!

On arrival to the Cheney Arms we were pleasantly impressed with the location appearance. We were welcomed warmly by the team on duty. We were made to feel right at home and were shown promptly to our room. The room was clean, tidy and well presented and had all the finishing touches from a hairdryer to a well stocked tea tray. We chose to eat in the Cheney Arms restaurant, the food was amazing !! We had a two steaks and a bottle of red wine on the table for £40! The local ales were also lovely ! The food was really really good and we can’t emphasise this ! No more than we stayed for lunch the next day !! The Burger the fish ciabatta was lovely and the pub chips……. Fabulous !! The staff were genuinely some of the nicest people, we didn’t get your names! But the young lady was lovely ! She was sweet and helped us navigate the UBER app! She also couldn’t help enough ! And the gentleman also equally as lovely !!Both Chatty, kind, engaging and made you feel highly valued and welcomed. An absolute credit to the owners !!

A longer stay !! Nothing to complain about at all!
