Very nice hotel, well appointed rooms, friendly and helpful front desk staff. Great attention to detail. Room was nice and spacious. Nice selection of furniture and well designed bathroom. Art deco style. Great choice of restaurants and different cuisines in-house. Improvement areas: A five star hotel should have a proper entrance driveway staffed with a door team to assist with luggage. It is a design failure to have guests and the less mobile carry luggage over steps and park their car illegally on the sidewalk. The architects could have done better here - or the municipal building authorities in Oslo are too strict. The bathrooms are quite dark with black and grey flooring and fixtures. Not so welcoming. The water pressure is also insufficient. Spa hours for kids are quite restrictive. Limited to weekends only. That might be a show stopper for families. Overall, I would still come again and recommend the hotel. You can see that a great deal of effort and attention to detail went into this. We stayed at Villa Copenhagen earlier in the week, a similar historical site conversion, and that was not as good as Sommerro in my view.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Sommerro Hotel. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, professional, and genuinely welcoming. Every staff member we encountered went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The hotel itself is stunning beautifully designed with a perfect blend of elegance and modern comfort. The rooms were spotless, well-equipped, and very relaxing. You can really feel the attention to detail in every corner. We also loved the atmosphere throughout the hotel, especially the common areas which felt both luxurious and inviting. Everything from the amenities to the overall experience was thoughtfully curated. Thank you for making our stay so memorable. We will definitely be coming back and highly recommend Sommerro to anyone visiting Oslo!

The hotel totally exceeded our expectations. Amazing breakfast, beautiful art deco design, and listening to Jazz in the man bar each evening.

Hard to fin anything megative. Lication is great. Good variety of restaurants and excelleny facilities for training. One of the best hotels in the city.

We have stayed at Sommerro Hotel in Oslo several times, and every time we leave very happy. This hotel continues to impress us, and this most recent stay was no exception. What really stands out is the service. Everyone we met was very welcoming, from the reception staff to the team in the breakfast room and the housekeeping staff. Before our stay, we also contacted the hotel by email regarding a birthday surprise in the room, and we received a quick and very kind reply, which was appreciated. This time we stayed in a Junior Suite, and it was lovely and clean, with a very comfortable and elegant feel. We also asked for a late check-out, which was kindly granted, and that made the end of our stay much more relaxed. It is always a pleasure staying at Sommerro, and we would happily return again. Tomás kindly arranged to pick it up and ship it back to my home—truly going above and beyond. I’m so grateful for the help and outstanding service! I would highly recommend this hotel not only for its beautiful setting but for its outstanding service.
