Nice private feel. Quiet and just enough vibe of eating and chilling on beach. Staff was very friendly. Oscar, santos and Jose. The restaurant was easily accessible and provided what we needed all trip!

5 stars is not enough for this beautiful oasis. The property is absolutely gorgeous with a boho tropical vibe. The food is fresh, flavorful and healthy. My room offered a private rooftop pool that overlooks the sea. However, my favorite part of this location was the fabulous staff. Thank you to everyone, especially Jesus, Oscar, Miguel, and Javier. I appreciate all of you for treating me like I was VIP and making my birthday so special.

Construction in front of the hotel and a very smelly room, unable to vent the smell out. Probably went all out with some perfume to cover the smelly bathroom. Complained about that the first night after check in. No reaction from the hotel. Hard to breathe inside. Can't imagine somebody with asthma staying there for more than a couple seconds. Active construction site was discovered right in front of the door to our room. There was no information about construction on hotels.com or the hotel's website. Complained about the construction and unabated smell around 11am the next day. No reaction from the hotel for almost an hour so I booked another hotel and packed. When we were just ready to move the bags out of the room, 5 minutes to noon, they offered another room in the same hotel. When I said we are already moving out, they offered a room in their sister property, but at that time they already lost my trust and we had something else booked up. Last but not least, the furniture in the room was in a bad state. One table completely fell apart as soon as we tried to move it. The chair had a screw too long, protruding into the seat, so when you sat in it, you got impaled in your glutes. Overall, not an experience worth $500 per night and the hotel refused to refund unused nights, claiming non refundable rates we booked. I don't think that should apply to an unusable room (smell, construction and overall state) and careless front desk. Can't recommend.

Amazing views both day and night

Very disappointed in management for not informing me about the conditions prior to my arrival. Checked out the same day as my arrival and that says a lot ! They’re refusal to refund me for the days I didn’t stay on the property goes to show that they do not care about their patrons

We had no heated water while there, even with many attempts of the maintenance people to fix the issue. There's no sidewalks or even paved street in front of the hotel, so during rainy weather is a completed mess and unsafe.

We returned to this area of Tulum after our stay at one of the sister hotels, Mereva, last year. The area is quiet and more private than the busy Tulum strip which we prefer. Nerea is a bit more lively than Mereva. We stayed in an oceanfront room in April. If you want to avoid seaweed best to come before April or after September. The weather was perfect. Staff is great. It’s safe, the food is wonderful. Great pool and lounging options. Only thing I’d say as constructive criticism is the beach area was a bit neglected - it didn’t get raked in the morning like they did at Mereva, and staff didn’t seem to be picking up finished beer bottles, cups as frequently as I would have liked. There could have been a bit more maintenance too like weeding around the beach. Would make a big difference. Overall this is a great hotel, great location, great staff and great food and I’d recommend. Would also recommend the Tucan Kin shuttle from the airport and the Tulum ruins / snorkel tour with the included lunch option - it was top notch.
