Hampton Inn Longview

Best property near LeTourneau that we have tried. There are comparable on the north side of town, but on the south this hotel is by far the best. It is relatively new but seems to be maintained well. Although it was super cold the pool was green and there is not hot tub. Workout room isn't bad. We skipped breakfast and went next door to Cracker Barrel.

This was a wonderful hotel with clean room, clean lobby and friendly staff. It's in a great location right off the interstate, and close to LeTourneau University. Breakfast options were a little on the limited side, offering the same thing for 3 of the four days I was there. There was cheese omelets every day, and not everyone in my group could eat dairy or eggs. The waffles were great! I really enjoyed the Texas shaped waffle iron. My son loved the available toppings for the waffles. I do wish there was the option of biscuits and gravy for breakfast. The hotel is a newer hotel in the area, only open 2 years or so, so maybe in the future they can add more breakfast options. As for the room, the beds were comfortable, and the air/heat unit quiet. Really it was just a place to sleep as much of our time was out visiting family. Road noise is a minimum, and the hotel while seemingly mostly full (judging by the cars in the parking lot) it was pretty quiet over all. I do wish there was an indoor pool at the hotel. We stayed in November, so the outdoor pool was closed for the season. The parking lot was very well lit. The lobby and hallways were clean and smelled fresh. For a new hotel, however, the elevators sounded a little scary. Scary as in creaky an old, but they worked fine--just didn't sound that way. The other thing I have noticed and this isn't the fault of management or staff at the hotel is that there is no exhaust fan in the bathroom. I have noticed that this seems to be a trend with all hotels and not just Hilton brands. Also, the barn style sliding door for the bathroom is weird and hotels need go back to a regular door on the bathroom. We never did figure out how to lock the bathroom door during our stay. Those issues aside, I would definitely stay here again next time I am in the area.

It was Nice and clean, and the staff was so super nice.

If you like sleeping on a bed made of a stack of plywood with throw pillows for bed pillows, this is the place for you. And also, you may want to not use the toilet. The gallon per flush rating is 4 teaspoons. So don’t drop a tissue in the bowl, because it won’t go down.

Enjoyed everything about this seemingly new facility! Great room, good breakfast, and all staff we encountered were accommodating. Room was clean upon arrival as well, which is a critical component of any good hotel stay. Thanks and would stay again..

Location was good. Beds were very comfy.

Elevators are in need of service, especially #1.
