Blackpool Abode - Southlands

The location and the gardens. The size of the house was great.

Missing utensils, badly organised kitchen. No decent frying pan, only a wok. No tea towels. Some bathroom towels were stained. All rubbish and recycling bins were full when we arrived, therefore we had to have rubbish accumulating in the utility room.

We liked the kitchen, the beds, the gardens, the location.

The hot water system (old fashioned storage tanks?) needed constant ‘topping up’, should be always on, I did not see the system manual until the last day, but using it to find out how to adjust the settings: I have better things to do during a holiday! The shower in the ensuite of the large bedroom was not warm enough, my wife did not want to use it. One of the kids caused some water to go on the communal shower room floor, and some water leaked from that floor through to the hall ceiling, I did not investigate, but my guess is that water can get through the cupboard floors. The kids these days want a large telly for their games, and it would be nice to have a large telly in the lounge where the dining area is. Our kids had to use the small telly in the kitchen high up the wall, because we adults won the fight over the large telly in the snug lounge.

A beautiful spacious house in a quiet location, with a spectacular which we all enjoyed, the kids loved the playhouse and secret garden area.

There was a bit of a musky smell when we first arrived which cleared after a day or so and a few spiders / cobwebs around but overall still a great house.

The house is amazing, very spacious and well decorated with very comfortable, high quality furnishings. This was our 2nd stay as its perfect for a short stay with friends or family, and super clean throughout. Spacious driveway for parking at least 4 large cars, tucked away at the end of a small quiet cul-de-sac in a nice neighbourhood.

It was very cold for the first night until the house got warmed through, but then was nice and warm. There is no wardrobe or hanging space in the 4th bedroom (twin) but is manageable using one of the others.

Loved the size of the property (grandchildren enjoyed playing hide and seek) and the gardens were fabulous( shame about the weather)

Wrong directions were attached to email and we ended up in Kirkham. The property was freezing when we arrived (soon heated up though) The shower in the main bathroom and bathroom floor tiles were very slippy ( shower mat needed)

Great location and equipped very well

No locks on bathrooms, beds in quad room uncomfortable and small double very small bed for 2 people to share
