Overall great experience with hotel, dining spa and staff quality. We had buffet breakfast at Bazaar.. good spread and convenient if you want a fast start to the day. The bay by chef fei was exceptional cuisine. Great ambience and view, attentive service at Opus 388

Sliding door to the bathroom was not closing properly

Amazing location, there are so many restaurants, shops just downstairs and my favorite part was a magnificent park just in 5 mins by walk Breakfast was 100/10. Concierge was super helpful and friendly!

I was confused by swimming caps that you need buy for~ 25 usd. I haven’t seen any other hotel making them mandatory to BUY. Everywhere i stayed before they just provided those caps for free. Because to me it’s one time use and i am going to throw away (no need in use and definitely not going to bring to any other trip) And surprisingly they don’t help to book a table in the bar at MO. It’s either come first serve first or tables with deposits. To be honest i’ve faved this for the first time as well (Bar as super popular and gets extremely busy around 9 mo)

"Our best hotel experience ever in Shenzhen"

10.0

I’ve stayed in several properties in Shenzhen and this is by far the best hotel experience top to bottom. Great attention to detail. The room was immaculate and everything just made sense in terms of the user experience. The club lounge was elegant and the staff there were great. Also, the breakfast buffet was more than adequate. MO Shenzhen gets all the big things right, but they nail the small things too - very nice kids slippers and toothbrush sets, a candy making station by reception for the kids over CNY, the effort to prepare a room as early as possible (by 11:00am!) as we arrived unreasonably early, etc. If you’re a gym person, I’ve not been to a hotel that has had: Squat Rack, Smith Machine, and a Dual Pulley Cable Machine all in a single fitness centre. They’ve got technogym equipment on top of this, and while it’s not a huge space, it’s well above average for a hotel gym and you can basically get your normal workouts in without compromise. We were in SZ for quite some time, and split our days between Futian and Nanshan. Without naming names, our experience at our 5-Star Nanshan hotel following the Mandarin Oriental was lacklustre and probably no fault of their own; the MO Shenzhen is genuinely a standout.

I know I mentioned attention to detail being the standout feature, but nobody’s perfect. Minor quibble here, but the windows could’ve used a cleaning. We had decent weather and the brilliant view of Ping An was a bit marred by the dirty windows. One other thing that is more of a personal preference is the pool. Some people will love it, it’s clean, it’s opulent, just not our cup of tea. It’s dark and cavernous and feels like you’re in a grotto. It’s definitely more of an adult-oriented pool than a family pool - and it is definitely on the small side. This isn’t a criticism, just a matter of taste.
