PINE VALLEY MOTEL

Every gigglebuth was a flatier, so that was good. The room was immaculate, with little evidence of bedbugs or cockroaches. The updated lighting features were nice, and the housekeepers didn't pound on the door for more than 10 seconds before being turned away. Highly recommended!

Location was good and staff was nice

There was mold everywhere. Shower and the pillowcases. The carpet was filthy. My granddaughter is crawling and her clothes turned brown from being on the floor for minutes. Also, the light in the bathroom is aromatic, it just turns off while you’re in there. The lotion has been used and the mirror had lotion on it

I love staying here. The staff is so nice. They have updated the rooms so well and they are really clean and comfortable.

AS I start this review I'm well aware of the devastation Helene wrought across NC. (It hit our area of Florida too, but the topographies are so different, the effect was MUCH worse in NC.) I sure hate to kick the AREA while it's down, but... I feel I'm forced to give my impression. It genuinely saddens me to leave a bad review. I've been privileged to be a corporate pilot for 35+ years and I've flown pretty much everywhere in the USA (with the exception of Pacific NW.) So I've seen every type of hotel in existence... from 5-star to 0-star. This place was bottom-tier. Upon initial calling for reservations, the person answering had an extremely thick Indian/Paki accent. I could not understand about 50% of what they were saying. We got thru that. Upon arrival; no owner or manager there; the Construction crew gave me key to my room! I kid you not. The room was recently re-furbed: but I'll try to show in my photo essay some of the screwed-up issues. Due to weather emergency we had to leave early and (forget any concept of hospitality; the owner was argumentative and extraordinarily unpleasant to deal with. Ohhh yeah; WiFi not working, ever. Overall impression: literally a curry-stinking (and I like curry!) Third World S-Hole. Photo captions: 1): Room design terrible! You can't reach light switch from bed without falling out of bed. 2): The curtains held heat in that spot and so thermostat not working. 3): I'm first renter in the room but still damage to walls. 4): No girl could put her make-up on with that lighting. 5): Hated this switch. I'm old guy, so up several times to pee. Light come on full blast each time, waking me fully up. HATED THAT. 6): Third World construction standards everywhere. 7): Yup; that's a hole in ice bucket. 8): Shelf situated right above "desk." Naturally, I banged my head on sharp corner as I stood up first time. Painful; bled a lot. 9): Used desk... apparently from Goodwill. 10): Attention to detail. 11): I moved to second room due to barking dog. Still couldn't reach light switch without getting out of bed. Not in photos: Whole place REEEEEEKED of Fabuloso!! YUUUCK!

Super clean. Well maintained. Scott was very helpful. Closet to the ski resort (30 min). It has a dollar general, fast food places next to it. Also has a fast charger for Tesla.

We were in room 24. Only stayed 1 night. First of all they charged us for our service dog. The toilet did work, had to flush the toilet 2 or 3 times to make it work. The manager said itbhas a filter thay needs changed every 10k flushes. Next, there were dead roaches and other bugs allnover the floor, see pictures below. The coffee pot was filthy, o ran to the gas station for coffee. See picture The water from the sink was cloudy, no way drinkable. Womens hygiene products on the floor under the bed, so gross. See picture below Was woke up by neighbors in the parking lot screaming and fighting 2 Rottweilers running loose in parking lot while i was loading my car so i couldnt walk my fog. Spoke to the manager about all the above issues and showed him the pictures. He was not interested and offered no apologies or remedy

This place is a TOTAL DUMP. Looks nothing like the pictures on the website. I called the motel twice to ask about the location and could not understand the owner at all, heard children in the background. Asked if I should call back because I thought I was interrupting something, but it was the same when I called back the second time. This place is just plain weird. I would avoid.
