The host offered to pick me up at the airport (although miscommunication meant he never came) although he did drop me off at the port when I left. He was very friendly and the property was very clean and comfortable. The room was great, there was an outside kitchen so I could cook for myself.

Location was quite far out - 35 min walk (although taxi is only $2.50). However this did make it a really nice quiet location at night. The walk is also well lit and safe to walk.

A bit far from town, about 30mins walking, but 2dollars 5 mins taxi. It’s easy to get there.

What a beautiful place to stay, run by the 2 lovely owners; Alfredo and Lila. It’s a little walk from the main town, out into the countryside (but completely safe, and illuminated), so it’s lovely and quiet and peaceful there. You are surrounded by fruit trees, which you are welcome (and encouraged) to pick and try. Delicious. The accommodation is safe and spacious, the air conditioning reliable, the beds comfortable, and the rooms are cleaned every day. The showers are lovely and hot, if you run the water gently. (ignore any comments about cold showers, they are from people who don’t understand the “heat at the end” South American system 😂). Alfredo and Lila genuinely want you to enjoy your stay, love their island and home, and will do everything they can to help you, even if your Spanish is very bad, like mine. I loved my time here so much that I returned again after extending my stay on the Galápagos. And also, from a value point of view, it simply can’t be bettered. I have travelled all over the world, often in high-end hotels, and also plenty at the basic, hostal level, and I highly recommend this property to everyone considering a stay on San Cristobal. Truly wonderful.

The hosts, Alfredo and Lily, are very welcoming and make sure your needs are met. The hostal is set back, and my room was spacious with a private bathroom. A small fridge was in the guest house as well as drinking water and glasses, so no disposable cups. I had a comfortable king size bed. The room has A/C , but I only used it once. Enough fresh air comes through both windows. Near the main house is an open kitchen and another fridge plus drinking water dispenser. Breakfast is upon request and is good. Location; is quiet, it is outside of town so rural with the occasional rooster crowing. Alfredo provides rides to the village and upon request could take you on a tour. It’s a 15 minute walk to the center. I extended my stay with one more night because I felt so comfortable being there.

The owner is a true gem. So friendly and forcoming. He will drive you around to the port, do pick up or bring you to the airport or ferry. They make nice breakfast at the time of your choosing and clean up the room everyday. Warm water and hangmats present. Its a 30 minute walk from the port but the owner brings you for free or the taxi is 3 dollars. 100% recommended. Dont miss out:)

The owner for driving me 20 km charged the same amount that I've paid him for 2 nights stay, which was much more than taxi.

The room was very clean and the location made for a quiet night. The owners are very nice people and although we did not speak English they went out of their way to help us. They drove us to town and to the airport which was greatly appreciated!

We wish that we spoke Spanish so that we could have communicated better. I think that there were more amenities at such as a kitchen that we could have accessed.
