The Lavender Folly - Cosy Accommodation Alresford

A well equipped property in a quiet location only a few yards from the centre of town. The cottage was detached, situated just off the main road so very quiet. It is quite small with a small sleeping area upstairs and a very cosy space downstairs with a fully equipped kitchen space, including a cooker, hob, fridge and dishwasher. A very small garden may have been nice to sit out in had the weather been better. The town centre is very pleasant with many Georgian houses and some good shops. It also has a frequent bus service.

There was very little space for a dining table so most eating was done on the sofa

Mattie war sehr gastfreundlich und wir fühlten uns sofort wohl. Die Unterkunft hat alles was man braucht und sie ist sehr durchdacht gestaltet. Besonders die voll ausgestattete Küche findet man nicht oft. Nachts ist es sehr ruhig und das Bett ist groß und sehr bequem. In 5min zu Fuß erreicht man einen kleinen Supermarkt und verschiedene Restaurants. Darunter auch eines mit Michelin preis-leistungs auszeichnung. Außerdem findet man auch die Watercress Line und einen sehr schönen Naturpark in direkter Umgebung. In 20min mit dem Auto ist Winchester oder das Jane Austen's House und Chawton House

Es war nicht super sauber. Hier und da war es ein bisschen staubig oder es sitzt eine Spinne in der Ecke. Aber es ist keinesfalls eklig oder unhygenisch.

Brilliant location. There wasn’t parking at the property but this was not a problem because there was plenty of street parking overnight close by and a car park that only cost £2 if you wanted to stay all day (first two hours free). The town is delightful with beautiful walks along rivers all round. We could have spent the whole week there without visiting anywhere else.

The bathroom was very small and the downstairs was dark but as we were able to sit outside this was not a problem. It might be improved by slightly better lighting (table lamps for cosy effect) but given the space constraints this could be difficult. The internet dropped out on some of our devices rather a lot so it would not be ideal if one had to work but was not an issue for us.

Well equipped accommodation. Lovely Market town to visit with independent shops and good pubs. Good facilities and good heating if needed...

To have a lovely cottage to stay in right near the centre of everything. It was well equipped, beautifully decorated and very peaceful.

I found the strong smell of new plaster set off my asthma but that's just unfortunate.
