Résidence Eureca

Excellent value for money close to the Olympe lift which is open from 7.30 am and gives full access to the Three Valleys ski area with just a 25 minute ride on the gondola. Brides Les Bains is much better value than staying in any of the resorts higher up the valleys and has a good range of restaurants, shops and an excellent spa where you can book an après ski massage. It has loads of places to hire and store ski equipment too. This was our second year staying at Residence Eureca and this year we had a fully refurbished apartment that was more comfortable and better equipped than before.

One or two things could be improved. Some of the furniture (eg bar stools) were a bit cheap and rickety and the bathroom fan didn’t work, but otherwise the apartment was well equipped and very comfortable. The staff were very responsive and helpful.

Clean, great location, all facilities I required, well-organised with very helpful staff - reception area next door. Not "posh", but I didn't need "poshness" i.e. good value for money. See also my comments about Brides les Bains - my third stay in this well-located unpretentious little town.

A minor detail, but a shower head holder on the wall above the bath would be helpful, rather than having to hold the shower head.

Friendly and responsive staff. Convenient location. Quite well equipped, very clean and well kept. The convenient but thoughtful supply of basic 'starter' items such as dishwashing , toilet paper, bathroom items, bin liners etc. These are minor items often overlooked but make life easier for those who travel a distance and arrive at awkward times.

Very friendly staff. Nice studio with a fully equipped kitchen. Comfortable beds and plenty of space in the built-in closets.

The parking spaces are located under the building and are very narrow. Although they state that each studio is soundproofed, I could still hear every noise from the studio above me.

We have stayed here before. It is the best value apartment we have stayed in in Brides over the years. Aspects of it are rather tired but there have been some improvements. Storage is good and the kitchen is reasonably well equipped. The staff are friendly and helpful. It's good to have underground parking. The lifts are a bonus.

There is no heating in the entry kitchen area. We found it difficult to keep the living space fully heated. The kitchen is cramped. The parking area is likewise cramped.

It was exceptionally clean and tidy. There wasn’t a lot of spare space, but it was just what we needed. Enjoyed the stay very much.

The residence location was very good for accessing the Olympe lift which took us straight into Meribel centre, there was a bakery and ski equipment shop within minutes walk of the residence and plenty of bars and restaurants. There is a free shuttle bus which runs frequently to help those with tired legs at the end of the ski day to take you back to the residence

Not the biggest of issues but although the studio was well equipped it would have been nice to have comfortable seat/small sofa to sit on in the room otherwise the options were the bed or a dining chair - with a small redesign the studio could accommodate something as it has enough room. The Olympe lift is 25min long but then a further 10 min to get across to Meribel lifts - this needs to be factored in for ski day start and finish
