We came from the Bocas del Toro area and chose this hotel for its location and convenience—and it was a total win. We booked using Hyatt points, which made it even better. Everything was walkable, even with kids—cute restaurants, shops, and bars right nearby. The variety of food options was excellent and one of the highlights of our stay.

The hotel’s location cannot be beat for walkable accessibility within the Casco Antigo district, which felt very safe and designed for foreign tourists. The hotel itself was gorgeous- beautifully decorated and full of history! Not the most quiet hotel- we heard music from the courtyard and sounds from the streets in our courtyard-facing room. We had to wait for the sounds to die down to go to sleep. I’m so glad we didn’t rent a car and instead relied on Ubers and hotel-coordinated transportation- traffic within the district was intense! It was a quick Uber ride, under $10 to get to and from Metropolitan Nature Park, which was a highlight for us, with many animal sightings on a short and easy walk (sloths, howler monkeys, deer, armadillo, coati leaf cutter ants, and lots of birds). Other highlight spots included Fonda Lo Que Hay, the Panama Canal Museum and geisha coffee at Sisu, all within a couple blocks

Hotel La Compañía is a beautifully restored historical building located right in the middle of Casco Viejo. The attention to detail is brilliant. Our room was very spacious and well appointed. It overlooked the central courtyard but was never noisy. The staff were so friendly and attentive. We visited 4 of the five restaurants and they were all amazing. We also got take out from the bakery for our flight back home. From the pool to the gym and spa you want for nothing. They also offer a tour of the hotel which was worth taking to learn the history of the buildings that make up La Compañia. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Panama and Casco Viejo.

We spent 2 nights and everything was very nice. After checking out, our flight got canceled and went back to the hotel, hoping we can grab a lunch at the pool. The concierge was very welcoming and understanding but the supervisor refused to accommodate us. It was extremely disappointing and cheap for such a facility to treat especially after spending a considerable amount at the hotel the past 2 days. Its the small things and gestures that make all the difference...
