Elite Vacation Club

Booked a king ocean view suite. Was placed in a double because they didn’t have any kings available. Was not notified at check in. Went to room, saw doubles & called front desk. Solution was to move rooms when a king became available. Not all restaurants were open & buffet was only 2 nights. No lunch buffet. Hours for food availability were odd. For an all-inclusive, it felt very on their terms what & where & when you could eat.

I love this resort the food is amazing the views are beautiful. The staff is very friendly. The reason I can’t give them a perfect score is because I’m upset at how they pressured us to take a “tour” of the hotel next door, which is beautiful btw. I was only there for the weekend of my birthday and upon check in the concierge girl was so persistent in getting us to take this tour. I told her I didn’t want to make any commitments and she insisted that it would be nice and that they would give us gifts at the end. Well that ended up taking over two hours of my vacation time to try to get us to buy their vacation club which I made clear from the very beginning that I was not interested in. There were no gifts for taking this “tour”.

Nothing was what it seemed from Expedia stand point. It was not all inclusive which I specifically asked and was told yes. I was also told I could check in at 12 well that was not true.

Property is beautiful. Service is great. Begging guests to use vacation time for a "90min" turned 3hr presentation to purchase membership was less than appealing.

Whatever you do, dont book with Expedia. They advertised one thing on their website and once you pay, it is something else, like the all inclusive. Then they wont help at all washing their hands saying it depends on the property to release a refund but you wont wont be able because they made dates that you need to cancel before you actually book your trip. Ex, we booked our trip July 26 2022 for a stay 27 through August 01 2022, well since we need to cancel to find an all inclusive place, we needed to cancel by July 16 2022 in order to get a full refund. Property was decent, big and specious rooms with beautiful views, however shower was falling apart, shower head didn't stay in place, there was not enough water pressure, you might be lucky to find roaches in your room or in the elevators, elevator takes forever to work, lights not working by the stairs, no life guards around the pools, we only spotted one on the entire place. Most of the food at the buffet and at the snacks was tasteless. It was missing flavor, spices. Very disappointing on the food. Make sure you take enough money for tips because even if you upgrade to all inclusive, food and drinks included, if you dont tip, the service it is not the same, your drinks and food finds a longer route before it can get to you. Beds were very comfortable, they offered multiple water activities for the whole family. All the non-server staff were very friendly and courteous.
