強羅base A棟 - GORA Base A

A unit on its own. Owner/ staff very responsive. Clean and well equipped with kitchen equipment. There is also a dining area that seats 4 person comfortably in case you prefer to cook your own meals.

It’s up on a slope so I would recommend you travel light.

Comfy space close to Gora Station and cable car. Great info on local places to eat/places of interest.

Washing machine in room was coin operated, needed to have coins.

Very clean, spacious living space, beds were very comfortable

Had trouble with the air conditioning but the staff helped us figure it out!

Basic bathroom and amenities. A few good appliances like rice cooker. There is an AMAZING tea shop/cafe just around the corner.

Had a coin operated washer and dryer which we didn’t expect given the cost of the accommodation. There are no grocery stores nearby. If you are staying here you need to bring food! Everything in Gora closes before the listed close time - beware!

The property exceeded my expectations. The only complaint I have is that some of the entries in their complementary guidebook led to some wasted time due to inaccuracies. I would definitely go to this accomodation again but I hope by then they have updated their book. Also there's the apparent fact that no public onsen seem to be in the area, so you should probably plan for going to hakone yamoto (hope I spelled that right) to get access to those. There actually is a small public one near this accomodation but I forgot the name.

We had a lovely one night stay here in Gora Base A, for our Hakone part of our trip! The place was nice and clean, and a great option for accomodation in Gora. Thanks for the great place.
