Sosuite at Independence Lofts - Callowhill

For the most part, the stay would nice. However please be aware that like a good 4 of the apartments are on the 9th floor and the elevator only goes to the 8th! You walk the last flight.

It was nice

First unit was on the nineth floor, elevator only went to the eight floor, had to carry luggage up two steep flites. They moved me to another room on the sixth floor. Better. However, televison had no remote, unusable, stove top did not work, unusable, and finally they attempted to charge me for smoking in the unit, which never happened! A less than great stay.

I would stay again. But the washers need to be left open. They have a mildew smell.

Very nice property with a great attached restaurant and bar. Not the greatest neighborhood but the building and attached parking is secure.

Great spot to stay

Check in was easy with all info available online after pre-check in. Parking garage was really tight. Building/halls smell really odd. Couldn't quite identify what it was. Room was nice, amenities provided were good for the price, however: The couch was one of the most uncomfortable things I've ever sat on. Felt like sitting on a paper towel with springs underneath it. Constantly felt like I was going to break it (I'm normal sized at 170lbs). Utensils/cutlery provided were dirty/rusty. Shower had next to no water pressure. Bed was incredibly uncomfortable. Sunk into it while laying until I could feel myself resting on the bed frame. Worst night of sleep I've ever had after going to a show. Overall, would not recommend.

The suite I stayed in was interesting and beautiful, but check in was difficult and frustrating and colored my overall experience in a negative way. Was given check in instructions while driving on the road so could not "Check-in" on line. The address I was given had NO signage or indication that I "was there." Had to circle the block several times, called and was brought in. Still had to check in online standing in front of the reception person and it was unnecessarily complicated. Not a good experience after 6 hours on the road and Philly traffic.

The property was good very clean and comfy..only issues was we saw a couple of bugs in the kitchen and the area around the property looks a little unsafe…

The self check in was really confusing and when you call so suites over the phone, several different people had an attitude with me all because the code they gave me to the door wasn’t working overall this ruined the check-in experience that you normally get at a hotel. I understand it was self check in, but the instructions were definitely not clear very confusing, and they didn’t specify that you had to do everything over the app on the phone. One other thing that bothered me was the location. It was in a very rundown part and sketchy area in Philly, they should also explain that there is no parking around the area and that they should have to pay the fee for parking per night because they were not clear on that as well. Overall the hotel was comfortable and clean but they should really give out a heads up on self check in on the areas location and on the parking situation, I give this place a six out of 10
