Sosuite at Independence Lofts - Callowhill

When we arrived at the property I had to clean all of the doors in the apartment down with bleach it was filthy. there was white film on the floor. The smell of smoke was so strong that even the person who worked there agreed that we could not stay there. they cleaned and we came back, however the smell was still there, the smell made my chest tight. we had to book a hotel room elsewhere for our stay. Still waiting for a return response regarding a credit. still have not received a response. so I will have to seek other methods. Please save your money this is no penthouse! The couch was stained and I would not even let my pet sit on it. Really bad experience. once again save your money!

Property itself is very nice! Communication with front desk staff was frustrating at times. All went well in the end. Unit is superb!! Surrounding area didn’t have a safe feel especially at night.

The unit was dirty. The security person wouldn't help me with my parking pass and he was the one that needed to give it to me. He ignored me several minutes after I contacted the company and they sent him an email confirming my stay an then told me to come back. He preferred to stay on his phone playing a game and chatting with someone.

Excellent! Room was clean, quiet, spacious, beautiful! Check-in was efficient. Staff were friendly and helpful. Parking was easy and secure.

We stayed 1 night at one of the penthouse unit. The view was spectacular day or night. The 2 separate bedrooms are spacious and very comfortable..The washer and dryer in the unit was a nice addition after our travel of 7 days.. Parking was super easy and secure. Restarants and many of the sights are within walking distance ..

It was fine, check in was a bit complicated. There was no one at the front desk when we entered. When we finally got checked in, they were still cleaning our room and we arrived 1.5 hours after check in time was available.. housekeeping gave us a bottle of wine to compensate for our troubles. Then our code to the room wouldn’t work but housekeeping was helpful again and stayed with me until we got it figured out. Later, our tv wasn’t working as normal and there also wasn’t a working stove. The room was aesthetically pleasing but that’s about it. Check out was a lot easier than check in though, you just send a text and you’re done.

The stay was great and they were accommodating.

The unit is very nice and well stocked. The bed was extremely comfortable. High ceiling that lets in lots of natural light, which is great. The neighborhood felt a tiny bit “unsafe.”

The property was safe and secure and the high light was there is bar/restaurant one the first floor

The apartment was great. Spacious and nice view of the city. The neighborhood looked rough, but all I saw were hipsters the whole time. My only complaint is that it smelled like a barn. I'm guessing it might have been a stable at one time? (Might explain the horse statue in the lobby) I smelled it from the lobby to the hallways to my room. If you can deal with that, then it's a fine place to stay.
