Villa Liberte Hakone Gora

Excellent and spacious property.

Location was a little difficult to reach with public transport (local bus being the only option), but would be fine with your own car or taxi.

Roominess and size of the house. Private Onsen

Kitchen window was dirty. There is now knives and forks. Some boxes were stored in a corner. Door of the toilets closed to the bath is so old and destroyed. Needs to be replaced. Check-in process is not convenient and leads to a waste of time. Distance to the city center is too big.

There was plenty of space for my baby to crawl and still be safe. The washer / dryer made it easy for us to plan our luggage to bring lesser. The bedding were comfortable.

The sauna was perpetually 48degrees celsius and we didnt know how to bring the temperature down. The stairs were abit squeeky There is no toilet near the sleeping area. One had to climb the stairs to reach the toilet at night. The location is situated on hilly side of the neighbourhood. Non locals need to drive for this place to be accessible. As it sun sets at 5pm, it can be quite dark to find the location if one reaches past 5pm.

The size of building was stunning. A very unique and charming onsen. Quiet and intimate location. Ryokan style bedrooms on 3F with floor sleeping were the best 😁

Poor heating (electric only). The interior needs refreshing. No bathroom for the morning toilet or regular shower, with mirrors at face level.

Kitchen and living room space and facility are good. Comfortable bathroom.

Check in procedure is not convenient and time wasted. Air conditioner @2F is out of work.
