Residence Inn by Marriott Jackson Airport, Pearl

Went to check in about 4pm, app said room ready. Reserved an ADA suite for almost $200. Desk person, who clearly struggled with English, tells me they overbooked ADA rooms and selected me to not get one. Doesn’t matter others have not arrived yet, doesn’t matter I have a confirmation email. Too bad, so sad. How about a hearing impaired room instead she says! Ask to discuss with someone else…but she is the only employee in the hotel at the time! She said reservations bind the guest, not the hotel. Aside from that, the mattresses felt like they wore out when Eisenhower was President. The breakfast was rudimentary and they didn’t even have napkins. What I thought would be a treat turned out to be an overpriced disappointment.

I loved the room and the property. The only negative thing I could say is the shower head blew water out of the shower all over the floor. We had to put towels on the floor to keep it from getting wet. The floor wasn’t as clean in the bathroom either. I found someone else’s pill on the floor.

Tried to cancel a booking and was bounced between Expedia and the hotel. Ended up getting charged for a night that I didn’t stay. Hotel wouldn’t give me credit either.
