Sussex Motel

Avoid at all costs! The motel is nothing like the pictures , shady residents hanging about, the outside is in terrible condition and the near by shops are nothing but liquor stores and empty retail units. For the price there are way way better options.

Avoid look elsewhere be warned!

Jackie was amazing! Check in was super fast and easy, and the room was immaculate. My only negative was my room smelled so bad of old cigarette smoke and my 12 year old didn’t feel well after the first night. The smell was super strong.

The property staff was amazing! Jackie really accommodates and is extremely friendly. The rooms were extremely clean and updated! Great stay for a few nights while being in between apartments.

Property was fine. Pool was not in use anymore, but that’s typical of many places these days.

Nothing to do with the property, but unfortunately the couple in the room next to ours were having some serious issues and had to eventually be removed. After that, the place was great!

Thank you Jackie for everything! Clean property, renovated rooms. Easy check in and check out. Nice and quiet. The kids loved the Roku tv. Thank you again!

Our stay at the Sussex Motel was horrific. I fell in their slippery bathtub shower. There was no ventilation and became steamed up in minutes as I fainted and fell due to no ventilation. The bathtub shower was very old and slippery. The hotel smelled of cigarettes and weed. It shows very nice in their photos but not really especially the outside 😬

The picture that Expedia shows of the motel is NOTHING like it actually is. The parking lot is a mess, nothing but pot holes. Pulling in it looked like a homeless shelter and I wish I could have turned around and driven away. You can believe I stripped the bed and check for bugs. The water in the tub ran constantly, the rug on the stairs was disgusting, looked like it had not seen a vacuum in a LONG time. I usually bring my own pillow, wish I had this time, "My Pillow" does not cut it. For the price I paid, NO WAY would I recommend Expedia, you really should VET the places you list and rate them accordingly or not list them at all, in this case.

I never checked in. The exterior of the facility was in poor condition and had a general creepy feal about. It looked like low class housing with the residents mulling about outside. Very courteous person on the phone when I contacted them requesting to not stay. It was too late to cancel (4 PM) so I ate the charges and continued on my way.
