The Tasman is a gorgeous hotel to visit. This was my third visit and it was excellent. The staff are very attentive and willing to assist. We had everything we needed. Ideal location if wanting to enjoy time near the piers, Salamanca and surrounding areas. All round - an excellent hotel.

"New modern clean hotel"

The only drawback of this hotel was that there was no free parking on site even for Marriott Bovoy Members. The daily parking fee is quite expensive and as most tourists will drive in Tazmania, this was a negative. However, on the upside, this hotel was excellent. It is an extremely new hotel hence extremely clean. Centrally located within walking distance to the pier and shops. A short drive to Bruny Island ferry and vineyards etc. Peppini is an excellent Italian restaurant onsite and the staff there went out of their way to squeeze us on even though it was fully booked. We will definitely choose to stay here again if the hotel can continue to maintain high standards as the hotel gets older.

"Standout experience"

I stay in a lot of hotels for work and personal travel, and have to say that The Tasman is one of the few that gets it right. From the moment you arrive, the staff welcome you like an old friend and throughout our stay couldnā€™t do enough to help us. Every staff member greets you with a smile and is friendly and helpful. Ellis at Concierge was a stand out. The hotel lives up to its luxury tag, with lovely decor, great amenities and good dining options. We will be back!

"Great place to chill and enjoy all that Hobart has to offer"

Location fantastic - great view of the harbour from the 7th floor. Staff very pleasant and helpful.

The bar (forget its name) looks lovely, but service a little lacking. And everything closes so early, but that seems to be Tasmania generally

"Poor service"

I was overcharged at the hotel. Despite many phone calls and emails, it's never been corrected. Very poor customer service for a 5 star hotel
