Reasonably priced, clean room in a very safe environment.

Everything was good with the property except they had a couple issues with the canle , but that was due to the weather

Our reservation was for this coming weekend, Aug.3-4, as a stopover to break up a long drive to Tennessee. Today I got a voicemail message from their manager, informing me that they had to cancel us, because of a leak that took out 13 rooms, pathetic! It's bad enough, the mediocre reviews of this place, but it seems like it really must be a dump, where they can't even send guests to another nearby property.

Dead roach just inside room entry door. No kitchen supplies so unable to use kitchenette

Front desk had nobody present. Had to wait 50 minutes until the front desk personnel returned to the desk to check me in.

I arrived about 2:15 pm for check in. The office door was locked and there was a note on the door which stated that "Sommer" was out of the office and to contact her by phone in case of emergency. I called the number and got voicemail but could not leave a message because her inbox was full. So I texted. She replied stating she was doing a room inspection and to come back because check in was at 3:00 pm. I left and returned about 3:10 pm and as I was trying to check in, I was told I had to put $250 on hold because I was local (within 70 miles) and it was non negotiable. I told her that I stayed at this hotel a few weeks ago and did not have to pay a fee for my stay. She told me it was a new policy and could not proceed with check in. Luckily I was with someone who lived in Spartanburg and was able to use her ID to check in and avoid the $250 fee. I prepaid for my room through Expedia and it does not state in my paperwork anywhere about a $250 fee for locals. Once in my room, neither television worked and all the dishes were in the dishwasher but had not been washed. Needless to say, that will be my last time staying at any StayAPT Suites...

Extra room for family.

Smelled a little musty.

The customer service. Was quoted one price and it was different once I w a checking in.

the amount of space and the security of the place

it wasn't as clean as I thought when I pulled out the sofa bed there were a lot of crumbs in the bed and the stove top wasn't wiped down very good. Also I could figure out how to take a bath so I only took showers
