Hotel Huntington

This facility looked good at face value, but that’s where it ended. The bed was soft enough for me but too soft for my hubby. Bring your own soft toilet paper unless you don’t mind wiping with sandpaper. There was a stopper problem in the bathroom and it didn’t drain for a while. The shower was only lukewarm, and only one wash cloth was provided. All in all, you get what you pay for. We won’t return when I go to the City of Hope for treatments again.

The bed

Clean hotel. Great location.

There was no Breakfast, just coffee. On the bright side of the Motel, it is clean, the staff is professional, and good at checking you in. They also asked about my request that I posted while booking the room, and made an effort to accommodate us. The decor is simple, clean, and modern, better than most of their competitors. If they fix the bed issues, I would rate them much higher.

The floors slope down from the entry door to the bathroom door in the back of the room, and the bed is perpendicular to the slope, so you roll towards the bathroom wall. An easy fix is to trim the two bed posts on the high side, but that's too much work. The bed is also way too worn out; like so many motels, you get the bed springs in your hips and shoulders all night, waking you up to toss and turn. The carpet in the room is dirty too.
