Camellia Rose Inn

Nice stay at this bed and breakfast in Gainesville. Really cute on the outside and nice on the inside. Good last minute booking for a night on the way back from a business trip. Only a few things to comment on. First was that breakfast was just average. Usually when we’ve stayed at bed and breakfasts where breakfast is included, it’s a homemade warm breakfast (eggs, quiches, several pastries etc), whereas this was just a continental with fruit, coffee/tea, and store bought breakfast items like bagels, cold pastries, frozen wraps, etc. Also just something to note is the AC can’t be lowered past 73 (or 74 I can’t remember) and it’s for the whole floor not each room. So if you like to control your own AC this is definitely something to make note of! Also we never saw any staff except one girl (very nice though) who was there picking up after breakfast, never saw anyone else but they did leave a number to contact if anything was needed. All in all it was a good stay for a night and was super cute, just a few things we wanted to note!

Very comfortable and good location, we would stay again when next in town.

This was one of the most accommodating B&Bs we’ve stayed at. We checked in late, but the codes to get into the house and our room were texted mid-day. The room was clean and comfortable, and the location was perfect for walking to dinner. Breakfast was set up with an assortment of bagels, fruit, hard boiled eggs, meat and cheeses. We truly enjoyed our stay at Camelia Rose.

Nice building. Greeter was a charming lady who was outstanding; considerate and concerned. We were surprised that no real breakfast was offered. We have stayed at b&b’s around the world and until now not been offered a DIY basic selection for breakfast and no cooked option. It seems to be a case of remote owners with no real interest any more. Shame, it was not like this when we last visited.

Wonderful property. It’s historic and the aesthetic is great. Staff are kind. The food and drinks are great. The porch Kitty was so sweet

Had a lovely stay! Came to Gainesville to look at UF with my daughter. So glad we came across this gem!

Beautiful place to stay.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay. Such a cute place and we felt right at home. Definitely would recommend this Inn.
