Camellia Rose Inn

Second year staying here and I think the B&B is just beautiful. It is a true hidden treasure and I am so happy I found it. First time being greeted when we arrived because it was raining otherwise all information given we get in and around with no issues. Thank you

It's a beautiful place, very clean, quiet, and welcoming

Comfortable bed, nice neighborhood,

We liked that the property is conveniently located close to the downtown area. It is a beautiful old house turned into a B&B. The only downside was that we had a heck of a time trying to find a thermostat to control the air in the room (the Camellia Room). When I called maintenance they informed me the thermostat was in the Business Center right outside of the room. The problem with this is that there is a sign saying you can use the Business Center "anytime". Even though it didn't happen that means someone could be outside of Room 10 (Camellia Room) at any time of the day or night. They need to post hours so whoever is in Room 10 can get some sleep during the night if push comes to shove. Like I said, it didn't happen, but the potential is there.

Beautiful place! I can tell how much thought the owner put into details. Which is why I was surprised by one small thing. The large window had room darkening curtains to close over the blinds but the smaller window right above the bed did not. Thankfully I always have a sleep mask in my travel bag since I wanted to sleep in.

We felt like we were home, but even better! It really was perfect! Next time we come up for a UF gymnastics meet, we know where we’ll be staying!

Quite clean comfortable friendly staff great stay

Staff was friendly, check-in was very simple and the communication was very good. The bed was comfortable. Our reason for an average rating would be the quality of the breakfast and we also had issues with our TV in the room until I tried several troubleshooting things. We would likely try something else the next time we are in Gainesville, but would still recommend this place to anyone if the location/price is right and the things mentioned above are inconsequential.

Such a charming B&B. Clean, great linens and nice touches like robes and additional shower heads. Stayed in the Stardust Room and loved sitting on the little porch. Place was close to downtown and can walk to restaurants. Would definitely come here again.
