Lea Casa at Casa de Emdeko

Great little condo complex in quiet area but still walkable to Kona for shops/restaurants. My husband and I would stay there again.

First, I want to say, communication with the unit manager was easy; Cindy was absolutely lovely. And that’s the only nice thing we have to say. Booked this property for the pools. Upon arrival, both pools were closed. Maybe 4 days before check-in, 1/31/2025, I received notice that one of the pools would be closing 2/3/2025 for annual maintenance but the second pool would be available. Unfortunately, the pool was actually closed 1/31 and the second pool was closed for several days without any notice. The unit itself, 215, was dirty and had a terrible smell. We described it as the was the penguin exhibit smells in a zoo. Please understand we were visiting from a very rainy part of the mainland and know the difference between the rainy musty smell and something rotten. The furniture in the unit was worn, broken and uncomfortable. Pillows and linens were stained. Someone else’s hair trimmings were all over the counter in the bathroom. Old food was in the fridge when we checked in. The number of light switches in this place is hilarious; lightbulbs were burnt out; fans were so dusty we didn’t want to use them. Overall, not impressed. Check-out was unreasonably early at 10am and included a long-list of required clean-up: take trash out to dumpsters, strip all linens and put in laundry, run dishwasher, etc. seems clear the guests just clean up after themselves and no one from the property does anything.

It’s a ground floor unit but a short walk for coffee in the cabana overlooking the ocean. The unit itself is wonderful, upgraded and clean. It has everything needed to be comfortable and enjoyable.

The grounds are pretty and the view from the tide pool and "beach" is beautiful. Unit is like being at ABNB. Condiments in frig, foil, plastic wrap, etc in cabinets. We had a great 3 day stay and would stay again. Only issue was mold in the shower, which I wiped off with a clorox wipe and the air conditioner must be timed because it would default back to 78 after 12 hrs. It also shut off and fan ran but it was 80 degrees over night until I turned it off and back on again. Then it started cooling again.

55 PLUS CROWD. Very quiet between 9PM to 9AM

Wonderful location to stay. Property could use some updated furniture and fixtures. Clean and well maintained. Nice and private property. Lacking in sound and light insulation between units.

Nice salt water and fresh water pools; pleasant shared areas including private sandy area for sunbathing. No beach, but was able to see dolphins, whales, and fish! Condo was nice if a bit outdated. Lovely management contact; would stay here again for sure!

I loved the ocean view how private the room was and how secure I felt there..it was so beautiful and all the people were so friendly and helpful

Received codes two days prior which removed stress, nice view, nice salty pool. Satisfied with my journey.

on our last night, the air condition stopped working it was 86 degrees all night I called the manager but unfortunately never fixed the issue, so disappointing.
