Reception area nice with pleasant staff. New kitchen in condo. Condo was clean.

Our Room was 307. In a dark alley leading from parking area to indoor pool. Window looked onto opposite wall with rusty door housing some sort of electrical equipment that was noisy. Had to have blinds closed all day for privacy necessitating having all lights on whenever we were inside. Closet door off runner when we arrived but was fixed following day. Asked to change room but we were told no availability over middle weekend of our stay. Indoor pool absolutely reeked of chlorine. On-line photos project pool area as bright - same with room photos. In actuality very little light. Dismal areas. We were very disappointed and decided to cut our losses and came home at end of first week. No partial refund offered.

The location was decent overall. Some restaurants, stores, and attractions such as The Track Destin were within walking distance, which was convenient. We also appreciated that housekeeping came every day and changed our towels daily. I also appreciated that I could use the business center for work and the internet connection was not bad.

The hotel seems to have had better days, but today it clearly lacks maintenance. There was a strong musty/moldy smell throughout the property, including in our room. During check-in, we noticed mold in our room and asked to change rooms. We were offered another room facing the indoor pool, but that room felt even worse, so we decided to keep the original one. The hotel also has poor ventilation, which made it almost impossible to dry beach clothes. We tried using the hotel dryers, which cost $3.50, but they did not work properly. The indoor pool area did not feel inviting, and we did not feel comfortable using it. The outdoor pool was fun, but the shower area where guests are supposed to rinse off sand before entering the pool had a strong urine odor. We chose this property mainly because of the price and because the room had a kitchen. The kitchen was useful, but only one burner on the stove worked, and even that one did not work well. The air conditioning unit was also located right next to the bed, making it too cold and uncomfortable to sleep. We had to use towels as a barrier during the night. Overall, we would not stay here again. In hindsight, I would rather pay the same amount for a better-maintained hotel closer to the beach, even without a kitchen.

The location is the best. It's close to lots of shopping and restaurants.
