Boutique Hotel EL NIDO Holbox

The hotel was beautiful and quiet, but expect avery remote location. You do have to take taxis or bikes everywhere, which adds cost so be aware. The staff were friendly and helped as much as they could. The free breakfast was not very exciting, same thing everyday, yogurt, granola, fruit and biscuit, I skipped it most often but it was fresh when I had it. The last day, there was a very loud group that checked in that partied in the pool and their rooms till 2am, kept me up, but there are no staff onsite overnight so not much could be done about it. The rest of the trip was very peaceful. AC had issues in beginning but it got resolved. No fridge, and limited filtered water, so just buy a couple bottles to keep in room. Overall though the place was clean, safe, beautiful pool area, people are friendly and responsive, mostly quiet, but expect remote location and not a lot of dinner choices unless you walk for a bit. Thank El NIDO, I needed to recharge.

If you don't want to be near the centre, this is perfect. The manager is exceptional - and works long hours (but there isn't a permanently manned reception, so service may not be available promptly). Rooms are basic - no fridge, would have liked a filtered water dispenser in the hotel and I had to move to have a room with a desk and chair (not all have them). I can't fault the service or cleanliness. You can see the sea - on the horizon, between buildings- but it isn't on the beach.

Style très moderne, un peu dommage pour le lieu et prix un peu élevé au vu de la localisation. Par contre rien à redire sur les infrastructures ou le service, même si nous ne sommes pas sûr que l’établissement vieillisse bien. Petit déjeuner léger et diététique

The hotel is very basic and I am not sure how they reached their 4* rating. Basic amenities (fridge, water) were missing from the room and reception shuts well before the last ferry to the island. Almost nothing is included in the hotel price and bikes, breakfast etc. cost extra despite being listed as included. Their marketing is very good but for half the price you can stay at a better hotel in the same part of the island.

Bien nadamas deben tener más seguridad por qué algunas parejas fuman marihuana y drogas y se pelean y eso va a ocasionar temas fuertes… prevengan por favor

Wat. Een. Hotel. Prachtig! Het is er muisstil, je kan genieten van de rust aan het zalige zwembad. De ligging aan Punta Cocos is perfect! Als we 6 sterren konden geven, zouden we het doen. Grazie mille amico!

The hotel is a tranquil place to stay. The soft music adds to the ambience. Brandon was very polite, friendly and professional. The rest of the staff were also very professional. The swimming pool and the area around it is a nice place to relax. The hotel is quite far from Centro so transport is required otherwise it's a 30-minute walk, which in the sun isn't advisable. There are very few restaurants nearby. The menu at the hotel has limited options. During my stay the cook was on holiday so the menu was even smaller. It would have been nice to have had more meal options available because as a vegetarian I am unable to choose widely. Besides this I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and I would really recommend guests to stay here as well.
