Lovely outdoor restaurant with big TV screens so you can watch soccer. Wait staff attentive (compared to usual Ghana experience of wait staff ignoring customers). Rooms very comfortable, hot water, clean bathrooms. Friendly check in. A plus for me, the bartenders make a very good Old Fashioned cocktail, which is hard to find even in the US. And when I ask for very crisp French fries, I get very crisp French fries. When I ask for no pepper, I get no pepper. I will be back.

I stayed for 3 nights in May’24 in Premium s\c Apartment and it was a comfortable and issue free stay. Reception team were courteous, friendly and helpful. Concierge Henry👏 is the link for anything & everything else locally that the hotel doesn’t provide. The facilities are good with a mini gym next to bar\restaurant (not ideal when u want some privacy), an inviting pool and chill out zone, all within a gated compound with 24/7 security, and restaurant offering breakfast / lunch / dinner menus but service can be slow even when you’re the only person there!! The 250 metre stretch of dirt road that comes off the main road needs to be restored and made more pedestrian and car friendly especially during \ after rains. However, overall I had a good experience at Golden Crystal and will recommend especially if you’re budget conscious, and most of my prior expectations were met. Big thanks to the reception ladies (forgive me small-some names forgotten) for your willingness to help and ensure my stay was as expected. Will look forward to staying here on future short stays.

Loved my stay

My stay at the Golden Crystal Hotel from April 26th to May 1st was exceptional. The hotel prioritizes privacy and comfort with private entryways to rooms, avoiding the need to go through reception each time. Despite not being one to frequent the pool, I was pleasantly surprised by its pristine condition throughout my stay. The entire hotel exuded cleanliness and efficiency—a testament to meticulous management. The professional and helpful staff stood out, ensuring my stay was perfect. The well-equipped gym was a major selling point, though I wished the weights were heavier. Parking was hassle-free, and any water interruptions were quickly resolved with a call to the front desk. This seems more of a Ghana problem and not a hotel-specific issue. Having a microwave available in the 24/7 canteen was convenient for heating leftovers privately. Privacy is crucial to me when selecting a hotel. Overall, the Golden Crystal Hotel offers a luxurious, comfortable, clean and hassle-free stay in Ghana. Highly recommended.

Good for the price. Was upset because the pool wasn't in use for most of our stay and the pool facility was the main reason I booked to stay here. The staff kept saying someone was coming to clean the pool but they took days to come. Sometimes the hot water wasn't working but once we complained it was fixed. Aside from this, the staff was very friendly, the space was clean and the food was lovely. Nice, traditional atmosphere.

They were trying their best which was minimum. The fan was dirty, the shades looked like they never got cleaned. Their bathroom had mold, their walls had holes. I had to request that my room be cleaned. They didn't knock even though I had my sign up not to enter. I will never stay here again.the only nice thing was their pool.never had noodles, a staple in this country....

The rooms

The location is safe but has no decent city view, the food was good and rooms are alright. The porters and restuarant employees are nice and helpful The stuff was a mess. The front desk responded to calls but didnt take actions to fix any of my issues in time without me having to push them. On Monday morning there was no water and i had to wait about an hour.
