The ENGLiSH Hotel, Las Vegas, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

This is a perfectly nice place to stay if you don't want the big Strip hotel experience. The property is small and easy to access. The rooms are comfortable--not particularly luxurious but thoughtfully done, in excellent condition and well maintained. There is a nice pool and restaurant on the property. Parking, too. The location is convenient (walkable) to downtown and not too far from the Strip, etc. The Arts District, where the hotel is located, has a number of good restaurants (Esther!) and coffeehouses (Vesta!). The real highlight of this property, other than its overall value, is the staff. They are universally friendly, welcoming, competent and responsive. Glad we stayed there and will definitely consider staying there again.

It’s a calm, clean hotel my room was beautiful they offer some coffee which I enjoyed they also gave money for my breakfast and lunch.

The best staff! You are greeted whenever you enter the hotel. I was there for five days in a work trip, and I never failed to get a “welcome back” at the end of the day. I do wish there was space in the bathroom to place toiletries. I also find it hard to believe that there have been no mishaps with that stool on wheels; maybe a mat under it would be a good idea. Rooms are kept very clean.

Love this hotel! The entrance, pool and lobby reminded me of a boutique hotel that we stayed at in Oaxaca MX with beautiful, fresh flowers and a warm greeting from the front desk staff. Cold water, cookies and a little welcome bag too. We had a fantastic, affordable dinner at Purple Place. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. Parking was free in a semi monitored lot. And-wait for it-no resort/amenity fees which is unheard of in LV.

Perfect stay in Las Vegas if you want to have not a typical Vegas “hotel + smoking casino” type of experience. The hotel is quiet, clean, feels new yet thoughtful. I definitely enjoyed the restaurant in the next building. The neighborhood is also great for vintage shopping lovers— almost all of interesting antique stores are in a walking distance from the place, which is a rare thing for Vegas. My stay included Friday, so I witnessed a big street market in front of the accommodation— it was great to experience a different side of Las Vegas.

The only thing you need to consider is that it’s ~15-20 minutes by car from all Vegas attractions, so if you’re there without a vehicle, count your budget including uber expenses (~18-30$ per ride depending on day time). And also there is no supermarket in a walking distance, should you need anything.
