the entire operation feels like a scam: you are sent instructions via whatsapp and nobody is there in the evening nor in the morning; the apartments are in the basement (not half-basement, but enitrely under earth) and this "little" fact is ommitted at time of booking so you have a nice surprise when arriving; the rooms have no possibility of ventilation (there is a proforma window only, but opening them is highly inadvisable; and no electronic ventilation system) making them inhabitable and raising the question of their legality; we booked one parking spot (extra payment, all handled outside of booking.com) via phone and the host insists we should pay two and so on. know what you are getting into before booking.

The only thing we liked was the location.

The accommodation capacity is very poor, dark, small... Accommodation that is not emphasized to be in the basement. There is no ventilation. The whole stay, the room felt damp, dark... Entrance to the apartment from the parking lot by construction stairs without ceramics. There is no place to dry wet towels. Vehicles are parked right at the window and you can smell the gas. The containers are located right at the entrance of the accommodation and right next to the window, as well as the stench coming from them. The biggest disappointment is the relationship of the owner, who did not want to solve our problem and replace our unit with another one, but asked for an additional payment of no less than + 1000 euros.... Our child has a problem with a closed space, bronchitis, and we tried to explain it, but it was not understanding for that.

unit was very trendy and located right in the Centre of Opatija. couldn’t have been better placement. the full kitchen came in very handy for our group.

The location was exceptional, the room was nice and clean, the bed was comfy.

I’ve missed a real window (our room was in the basement), a microwave oven (used the oven instead to warm up food) and some place where we could dry our towels.

The apartment is really nice and very well equipped. Everything looks exactly like in the pictures. The beach is right across the street

But you have to expect a few unpleasant surprises. First, you find out that you are going to live in the basement with no windows and no nice views only after you have checked in. Then, you understand that you are going to be charged extra 22 euro as a tourist fee on the day you arrive. And finally, they tell you that parking will cost you 20 euro per day only when you are already on your way to the place of destination and cannot change or cancel. I wish I could find this information before I decide to book
