Balkon Boutique Hotel

Overall, I had a wonderful stay here. It was perfect as a base for Playa, an easy walk to 5th Avenue, close to the beach, and near grocery stores and cafés. My room was clean and comfortable, and I appreciated having access to TV apps like Netflix. The tea and coffee in the lobby were great quality, and it was really convenient having cold drinking water available. All of the staff were lovely, and I was grateful to be given a late checkout before my evening flight.

The only small concern I had was during checkout: the lady at the desk kept saying “hold on, hang on,” and because my Spanish is basic, I wasn’t sure what she was checking on the computer. It went on for about five minutes, and I wasn’t sure if there was a problem, which made me a bit nervous and panicky because I needed to get to the airport. It just felt a bit abrupt and confusing, although perhaps she was simply checking something. It was just a lack of communication that worried me. Especially as I had to catch a flight.

Rooftop beds were comfortable, pool was great , the bathrooms are very nice and the the service people are very nice.

The beds were really uncomfortable and rooms were small . The location doesnt seem like a safe to walk in the night.

Free coffee, water and a microwave was available 24/7 in the main lobby. So great. The decor of the rooms is clean, natural decor and fresh. Good ventilation and AC provided a comfortable environment from the heat and humidity. The maids and staff very professional and David the manager personable and always time to chat with good advice about the area. It is located on the fringe of busy 5th Avenue so you can get away from it all. Very close to the best beaches in the north of PdC. The roof top pool and lounge became my afternoon haven.

There is nothing I did not love about the Balkon. I will return !
