Metro Chandler Extended Stay

I have been staying here with my family for several months. This has been the best situation for us as it is an apartment setting vs a traditional hotel room. There is a full-size kitchen (minus the oven) but you have everything else you need. There is wifi and cable as part of it all which helps when yo9u have kids.

Do not recommend!!! I stayed at this place for 2 nights and both nights there was several fights/arguing between people. It was very disturbing. I also checked in at 4 pm and at 4:19 the door of my unit opens, I run to the door terrified and it was the manager who was in the room to make sure everything is okay. She did apologize although she should’ve at least knocked the door or advised that she was dropping in considering it was after check in time. Also, before checking in, you are sent a link to complete verification on a portal. However the catch is that you can’t proceed to verification without paying 35USD as a deposit for damages. Prior to paying, I messaged the property to ask them if the deposit is refundable and they said it is, as long as there’s no damages. 48 hours after checking out, I haven’t received the deposit back yet. I messaged the property and they said apparently I paid for a damage waiver and not the deposit - which is untrue because the portal wouldn’t let me continue without paying the 35USD, which means I didn’t have any options. They are not willing to refund that money and they haven’t responded to the issues I encountered while staying there. I would not recommend the place at all.

It was a nice and quiet stay. And the dishes came in handy.

Price listed in hotels.com was one price then when we arrived to the apartment complex I had to go back to my account to try to find someone to call. Hotels.com was down for multiple hours so I couldn’t check my messages. Once I was able too I found a number that took me to an india based switch board that then sent me an email that took a hour to get. Once I got the email I had to pay an additional non refundable amount for a back ground check that required a picture of my self and my photo ID. Once that was completed it took another hour to get my room number and passcode. After all of this we were able to check in around 9 pm. The two 14” TV’s did not work the floor and room was absolutely filthy. When I did a double check in the morning before we left we found a sex toy under the bed along with other trash. This was an absolute disappointment and disgusting room and experience. I lost a good amount of trust in this site. Still considering using hotels.com again.

The communication was great. I called to ask for more blankets and remote batteries and they were there within a couple of mins. Unfortunately, the room was very outdated with holes on drapes. Every seating item ie: sofa, chairs, bar stools, looked dirty and had stains. The shower had no pressure and there were moldy n cracked tiles throughout rest room. The hide-bed mattress had stains and no sheets. The carpet also had a lot of stains. There was a mini coffee maker but no filters. As soon as you walk into the building, it smelled musky and the carpet and walls vere dirty. This is not a place i would recommend.

Unit was dirty, garbage not emptied and missing a coffee pot - these issues were remedied but …..

It was not what I expected. It did not look like the picture showed. It was dirty, dirty blankets. The furniture was terrible. Did not seem to be a safe place to stay. The door was not secured very good. I did not stay there. Terrible

We were hopeful this would be a decent place given the pictures, they were however deceitful. The property location was alright, however, we saw a homeless person smoking on the side of the building. When entering the building it smelled awful, an overwhelming laundry detergent smell with underlying smells of marijuana. The entry into the building wasn't clean full of leaves and dirt. Once in the room it was alright, however the bathtub drain was missing, the bathroom walls had dirt and grime on them and there was hair inside the shower area. On our second morning there it started to rain outside and then we had rain dripping down through the kitchen light, and then through the a/c vent return, and then through the outlet in the kitchen. The power then went out in the kitchen. The roof looked like it had happened before due to sagging and stains on the ceiling, which I assume means there could be mold in the attic area. We called the front desk to inform them and they didn't give us much help or say they were sending someone up. We decided to pack up as quickly as possible and get out of there to avoid further issues. I wouldn't recommend this place and am disappointed in our stay.

I was originally supposed to stay in Chandler after 4 when I was supposed to check in they told me the unit was damaged and I had to be moved to the Tempe location. Didn't get my room til close to 5 or later. The room was disgusting, dirty and it smelled. They were roaches crawling everywhere I couldn't even sleep in the bed. The window was full of pigeons and bird sht. Paid for a later check out and they come banging on my door at 10 a.m. Never would recommend any one staying here . Not worth the money.

A lot of issues starting with cleanliness. Vents were disgusting, certain lights didn't work, there was no remote for the living room tv, the water was too hot, and there was a distinct gross smell.
