Holiday Motel Lordsburg I-10

Room is neat and clean. Outside needs a little TLC like painting but it's under new ownership so I assume it will get better with time.

Check in was easy. Mgr was cool and very helpful.. we we will stay here again.

There is a train track right across the street. The rooms don't have very thick or soundproof walls. People were up at 4:30 am to go to work. They were not overly noisy. I am sure we were noisy to them when we stayed up later than they did! For the price it was fine for the night.

the hotel is located near the railway tracks, all night trains passed and blew their horns, as if behind the door. I did not sleep at all that night. also, the toilet was poorly cleaned, which left a negative impression

The hotel is older. I was very surprised that the linens were much nicer than many hotels in this price range. Be aware that there is a train track across the street and the train blows its whistle day and night. Thankfully we were exhausted and slept through most of it. The room we stayed in did have a sewer smell. Not sure if it was a previous guest or there maybe some plumbing issues. Overall it was fine. We just needed a place to sleep after a long drive and several road closures/ detours didn't allow us to get to our desired stop.

It was an amazing experience overall, we moved from California to Texas and we were so tired we decided we needed to stop at the next nearest Town and that happened to be lordsburg. In the chaos of moving with a toddler and pregnant wife I lost the key to the back of the moving truck which had all of our travel items it was very late at night and no stores were open in this very small town. I went out on a limb and asked the office if they would happen to have any bolt cutters. They gave me a 3in grinder and I had it off in about 30 seconds, absolutely saved me from a very upset wife who desperately wanted to shower. Onto the rooms portion of the stay they beds were very comfy and not springy at all, the blankets were very cute as well as the sheets and they were very warm. Just a very cozy place. May not look like much from the outside but this place is a diamond in the rough. And the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating.

The only thing I wish they had was vending machines and better soap
